Good portions and customer service with a lackluster establishment. I don’t think it makes sense to have an area for people to sit but no toilet or even hand sanitizer to wash or clean up before or after eating. Regardless the food is good!
I called and told them it . They ask me what my order was . The Manager said it was fresh food. This doesn’t look like fresh chicken to me. I spent 60 bucks. Now I have to go spend more money so my family can eat . This is the 2nd time they did this me last time was like 8 months ago. I ask them to make them fresh .
It's in a weird little spot, but other than that, it's great. Nice folks behind the counter, you can HEAR them preparing your meal (gotta love the sound and smell of fish frying), and the food is all wonderful. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with a side of Okra and a side of jalapeño poppers. Poppers came with a sauce but the Okra didn't ????
All of it tasted amazing. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for more!!!!
I love A & J's I always get my chicken strips and fries and they are so good. My love gets gyro fries and while I don't like them this is our go to in the city! Parking lot is small but the guys are quick and our order us ready in about 15 mins. Also one of the only places I can get my Calypso Blue Lemonade!
Decided we wanted some wings and fish after a day of being out. We went to AJs for the first time. The food was really good. We ordered the perch and chicken with a 10 piece wings with fries. The wings were a nice size and the perch and chicken were fried to perfection with a minimum of grease present. The sauces were also really good. We will be back definitely.
I tried this place today. I tried the fried chicken. It was decent for fried chicken. My only complaint is it was a little salty for my taste. Not bad overall. I really liked the hot sauce. Also got a piece of the 7up pound cake. Not as good as my Aunt Pearl's but nobody makes it like that. My uncle proposed to her because of that cake.
I ordered a corned beef sandwich and it was processed meat not corned beef. I was not happy when I bit into the sandwich. I will not go back to this place. I went by someone's recommendation.
The host here is very hospitable, kind and has a bit of humor. The food is worth the price and taste grert as well. Wish there were one of these restaurants in my location.
