Best WLM Reviews

Decided on a late breakfast so we wanted to check this place out.
We ordered the French toast meal. We ordered the homestyle waffle meal, and the salmon fillet with grits.
We didn’t have any wait we actually missed the rush, so it was pretty empty when we arrived. Which was around 1:30 pm. I noticed they had a DJ which was cool. The manager was kind enough to even adjust the volume bc we had a newborn, very thoughtful of her.
The fried salmon over the grits was exceptional. The grits were cheesy and the dish was very satisfying. It does come grilled as an option for those healthy eaters.
We originally wanted the red velvet waffle and chicken wings but there were out of that item. So ended up with your typically waffle.
There were also out of turkey bacon but substituted salmon croquet as a non pork option.
Would go again, overall I had a nice time and the service was good.
They do charge 18% automatic gratuity though!
I deliberated quite a bit on whether to share this review - l want to be selfish . A Little Cup of Comfort has undoubtedly earned a spot on my list of cherished culinary havens. Every dish our party sampled was nothing short of delightful.
My brother-in-law's experience was so profound that it brought him to tears – quite the endorsement! My mother, who shared his selection, couldn't help but commend the chef's mastery in the kitchen. Meanwhile, my sister indulged in a vegetable omelet and some decadent Oreo French toast (which, of course, I couldn't resist sneaking a taste of). As for myself, the blackened salmon and grits left me absolutely enchanted – moist, flavorful, and delightfully flaky, it was a culinary masterpiece worthy of applause.
And let's not forget the dangerously tempting strawberry mango mimosas that added an extra layer of bliss to our experience. Also the fried green tomatoes, were cooked to crispy perfection.
In summary, if you're seeking impeccable service, delectable cuisine, a warm and friendly staff, and an owner who treats you like kin, all set to a backdrop of soothing musical vibes, then A Little Cup of Comfort is unequivocally the place to be.
This was our first time eating at this establishment. We ordered the shrimp and grits, order of wings, French toast and swaifish. Now to rate: shrimp and grits was hot would give 6/10. Wings hot 6/10 French toast was cold and nasty 0/10. Swai Fish was hot and good. 9/10.
They automatically add 18% gratuity onto your bill and the service was not worth it. Don’t think we will be back
Been trying more places around mcdonough and this one came up on my Google list, so we gave them a shot. We got here pretty early so it was very quiet and empty but still service was great. The food was very good and cooked very well. Flavors were excellent! I'll be going back to try more dishes when it's a lil more busier to see how the restaurant operates when it's more of a crowd.
We had a party of 5, 2 of which were children, and no one ate. The Champagne mimosa carafes are served at room temp. The food was not good and they’re over priced! My salmon Pattie’s were dark brown, way over done, etc. and they give you cheap plastic ware to try to cut through the thick waffles! Long wait before being acknowledged. It was a mess! I asked for ketchup and they brought packets like we were at a fast food restaurant! When asked to speak to a manager, we had to wait, asked again, then we’re told she was busy. They offered a $22. Discount off almost $200. Of uneaten dishes! We won’t be back!
Checked out this spot with a friend for brunch. I'm so glad I saw an IG video for them. Otherwise, I would have never known about the location. It is off the beaten path for me. Upon entering, we managed not to run into the Sunday rush crowd. We were able to sit where we liked among the two section restaurant. Our server was great, offering her opinions on what to try and her menu faves. We started off with the Tropical Sunset Bottomless mimosas and a half order of the Oreo Crunch French Toast. Loved the French toast! Only minor change I would make would be for them to crush the Oreos a tad more before sprinkling on the toast to make them easier to consume. I ordered the Loaded Seafood & Grits, which was a generous portion, seasoned to perfection, and a medley of flavors. But the fried lobster tail was definitely the star of the show. My friend agreed as she ordered the Low Country Lobster Boil and noted how great it was. I will definitely return to try more options.
My husband and I have recently relocated from Michigan. We heard great things about them and on social media the food looks wonderful. Unfortunately, they’ve hired cooks -in training-to meet budget needs. We tried letting the Maanager know after we paid, and he basically brushed us off. The icing on the cake is that they pay IG promoters to eat and take photos-write reviews. I asked why my lobster looked different than the IG table seated 3 tables away and was under cooked. The manager told me he cooked their meals. I explained that I write reviews. He seemed unbothered. The waitress was very nice and working to serve by herself. I didn’t mind the %18 gratuity included in the bill. However, it should be stated or mentioned upfront. Management should be the asset to a business not the downfall. Had he offered to remake my food this post never happens. Restaurants who have to pay for reviews need to make serious changes.
We ate here on Sunday. My 3 stars are only for the pleasant attitudes of the waitresses. The restaurant was a decent size. I loved that they didn't squeeze in more tables like some other restaurants. It was a little dark for my taste. But I noticed a lot of soul food and black run restaurants are a little dark. The orders took a long time to come out. However, they provided a few tables biscuits to compensate for the wait. We had hot brewed tea with our meals. I loved that our server told them to cover our tea mugs and let them brew before serving them to us. I had the traditional French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, & Chicken Sausage. The bread for the French toast was very thin. It reminded me of the no frills bread you get at camp. I asked for vanilla sauce on the side, but it was poured all over. I was almost glad they messed up because it was the only flavor coming through. The eggs came out wrong the first time, but were good and well-seasoned the second time. By then, I had filled up on tea abs didn't want any more. The chicken sausage tasted like smoked sausage. I didn't like them. The biscuits aren't homemade, but they're pretty good.
