Keeping it short and sweet! The pastries look well made. The Apple Turnover doesn’t have enough filling, yet it’s pretty crispy. The Sugar Cookie is what you expect. The cappuccino is okay, but it can always be better.
Overall, it’s a pretty affordable place if you’re just here for a quick bite or drink at the bakery.
Bland decor and blander food.
50 bucks for rack of lamb with a sauce that taste like a supermarket powder packet and refrigerator cold mash potatoes that clearly was plated with a small ice cream scooper.
Who serves cold mash? Gross.
Food was mediocre. Most delicious part of meal was the antipasto appetizer. Order linguine and clams and while tolerable, was severely underwhelmed with lack of actual clams (so few!). White sauce was okay, but not clam-y enough (essentially white wine butter sauce).
I can’t speak to the restaurant, but the bakery was pretty good(blueberry and cheese danish), espresso was fine. I’d come back for a quick morning bite before the beach
Great BYOB local restaurant in Cape May. During our last visit to this Cape May bakery, over 12 years ago my wife and I ordered a custom wedding cake for our wedding in Cape May. The French bakery chef prepared a masterpiece with hand created sea shells and meticulously prepared roses
We visited the A Ca Mia this fall again during off the typical Cape May slow-season, the owner Nikolai was gracious and offered a choice of seating inside or on the outer porch area. They offer a special prix fixe dinner.
We found this restaurant to offer excellent value, generous portions and delicious food. This is also a BYOB restaurant for those wine lovers. We found the service to be excellent and personable, which was attentive and involved no waiting. One of the outstanding wait staffs, Gabriella was a pleasure to dine with with a snarky and playful attitude with all guests and stayed on top of our every wish.
Second time here. Their bread is always excellent. This time we started with a charcuterie board that had some delicious ham. I had the special pasta - again. 4 cheese tortellini in a cream sauce. Yummy, just as I remembered. They didn’t have the bolognese, so my hubs had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was good. BYOB. As the weather was cooler & it was very breezy that day we decided to eat inside. It’s a small restaurant and if anyone has a loud voice, it carry’s. Outside is nice for people watching. We will be back!
5 stars for the bakery-we loved the peanut butter cup cookie, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and blueberry danish.
1 star for the restaurant-food was mediocre at best and prices were way too high for the low quality of food. We were very disappointed since it was one of only two dinners we had in Cape May.
Great people watching if you sit outside at the cafe
This was our first time in Cape May in the winter, and the experience was wonderful! Peter was our server, he was so attentive on a busy Saturday night and really great!
