Best WLM Reviews

We love this office! The staff and nurse are all amazing and straight forward with expectations. Dr. Berry is patient and understanding to the needs of the individual patient.
I don’t know why there’s a comment about financially tied to a medication, I think she probably just had a great experience with results from meds for certain circumstances/symptoms/behaviors and is motivated to prescribe it when appropriate. If you don’t like a medication result she changes it immediately.
The other reviews about waiting are surprising to me, we’ve never been in the office longer than an hour and 45 minutes is usually with the doc because I talk a lot.
DONT LET NEGATIVE REVIEWS DETER YOUR VIEW OR POTENTIAL AT THIS AMAZING PEDIATRICIAN!
Dr. Berry has been our family pediatrician for 15 years and I am so thankful for the care she has provided to both of my children. She has been a great source of knowledge and resource along with truly caring about my children's wellbeing. My daughter has ADHD and my son is having his struggles, but Dr. Berry continues to remain a constant in regards to their care and I am forever thankful.
Would highly recommend Dr.Berry to anyone especially new parents ! She is a very comforting and knowledgeable doctor Caitlin and Oscar are very friendly and efficient front desk/appointment scheduler could be more accommodating but they have to run a business so to an extent I can understand she is just doing her job. Being a self pay patient I feel I’m getting beyond what I could expect from a pediatricians office
Dr. Berry is a wonderful doctor who cares tremendously about her patients. It is so refreshing to have a doctor like Dr. Berry who is deeply involved with her patients’ care from day one. She goes out of her way to go above and beyond for her patients. Plano is so lucky to have a compassionate pediatrician like Dr. Berry. I couldn’t recommend her more.
After reading others reviews, I felt the need to come on here to give the honest first hand experience we’ve had. I want to first address the whole staff negative reviews, when we first started seeing Dr Berry she had a different nurse that honestly I don’t even remember their name or experience BUT then she got a new nurse, Oscar, he is absolutely amazing! He is such a sweet person that my kids absolutely adore, even during shots…they love him! The front desk/first face you see at the visit is Ms. Fran, she’s so sweet and always helping me navigate what to expect during the visit and helps me navigate through the sometimes painful insurance issues or situations. There has absolutely been times where I left my wallet at home or didn’t have money on me and she’s never pushed for me to pay immediately or rushed me in anyway. My kids look forward to seeing her every visit. Caitlin is newer and is the checkout or last face you see and is also one that will call sometimes to do virtual check in triage. She’s another amazing staff member that my kids love, she has the fun part too where she gives stickers to the kids so they get so excited to run to her desk. The staff is better than any other doctor I’ve ever been to. They answer voicemails/calls the same day and yes there is a charge if a new script has to be written to a different pharmacy…the physician has to take the time to process the scripts which they should be paid for. In the beginning I was also frustrated about the fee but at the same time, I understood and know that it is MY job to make sure a pharmacy has the meds or that I get an appointment or refill before the day of my kids last dose. I’ve only had to do the pharmacy rerouting one time and honestly I’ve called the emergency line on the weekend and paid the $25 for after hours a couple times for meds questions/refills and doctors time deserves to be reimbursed especially when they are as dedicated as this clinic.
Now for the doctor experience - We started with Dr Berry a couple years ago when we needed a new doctor that my kids were comfortable with and that I felt was genuine or not rushing us out the door. We suspected our child was autistic or adhd and our previous pedi told us they’d “grow out of it”. So I searched online for a doctor that specialized in not only pediatrics but also behavioral services. We found Dr Berry and our first appointment was amazing, she’s extremely intuitive about kids emotions and needs and made both of my children (as well as myself) extremely comfortable. We began the medication journey that same day. Now, any parent who has had to go through this knows the stress and emotions that come with it. The first med was a nightmare and caused crazy emotions. I called Dr. Berrys office almost in tears from the stress and she got on the phone immediately and said let’s take him off those meds and try a different one. So again, same scenario, high emotions or anger in my child so I called Dr Berry and explained the situation. This doctor…is not your normal medicine pushing, money seeking, general care doctor…she literally scheduled a weekly meeting/call with me as we worked through the meds to find the right fit. Finally on the fourth week I was exhausted from the meds journey (as any parent typically is) and told her I was done, let’s just take my kid off everything because I’d rather have my wild child over an emotional roller coaster. So Dr Berry said let’s change the dose on the current med, give it one week and if it doesn’t work we will discontinue all meds. OMG my child on day one of the new dose was completely potty trained, sweet, calm, not triggered…this is what parenting is supposed to be! Dr Berry literally saved my family and my child. She’s amazing and willing to walk with you through the nightmare medication journey if needed or help you with different methods of parenting if you’re trying to avoid meds. She’s honest, caring, sweet, and empathetic to every situation big or small…Dr Berry has a gift and I’m glad we found our forever pediatrician with her
I am disappointed with DR. Berry’s diagnosis as she has been practicing for 26 years and has not dealt with TB. My daughter came in with mild symptoms and Dr. Berry suspected TB but did not know about latent TB which is what my daughter had. She handed her case to the health department and did not follow up with my daughter’s care. She gave us all the treatment plans for active TB and scared my daughter as she was quarantined for over 10 days in her freshman apartment room. This was a horrible experience and we will not be going to Dr. Berry again. She has charged us for a televisit stating it was 45 minute and it was only 15 minutes. Super traumatizing experience for an 18 year old freshman first year away from home ????
I'm contemplating finding a new pediatrician. [I did find a new one.] The other reviewers were right that the doctor is fine but the staff is not. I can find another good pediatrician somewhere else, too, I'm sure.
The first time I took my son myself (my husband had taken him before), the front desk lady was unpleasantly abrupt. Then we waited OVER 40 MINUTES in the lobby before being taken to a room. In the 40 min, one child came out, then the other family from the lobby went in and out. After getting into a room, we waited another 15 minutes for the doctor. She at first said I might have too many concerns for one appointment. What?? Because they were so busy? (Not) I want to pay as few copays as needed. However, she did end up addressing my concerns.
I called after the appointment and left at least five messages over a couple weeks for the nursing staff and with the front desk to get my son's height percentile. I got no call back. I even messaged on the online portal, with no response. After leaving yet another message with the front desk, still no response.
The follow up appointment, we were running 5 minutes late, so I called to give them notice, only to learn they had moved offices. The text confirmation I received just days earlier and the text reminder from that very afternoon said the old address. Thank goodness we hadn't gone all the way into the old building before discovering they had moved.
We drove even further to get to the new office.
So good luck. They have no regard for your time. Once you finally get to the doctor, things are okay. She's either no-nonsense or abrupt depending on point of view.
We had a horrible experience with Dr. Berry. Don’t waste your time or money. To start off the woman is neurotic. Dr. Berry was trying to solicit patients from another medical facilities and then talked badly about them. She charged me $350 for $100 visit. She prescribed a medicine that she haste financial ties to Qelbree and it had a negative effect on my son. When I tried to get in touch with the nurse and/or Doctor, it took them a week to get me. This entire experience was a nightmare!
