Nice place away from resort food prices. I had avocado toast with egg and my partner had corn beef hash with egg. I also enjoyed a mimosa. Breakfast was close to $80 including tip. Service was good, we sat outside. The restaurant is included in a very nice shopping area.
Fantastic Happy Hour specials from 3-5pm - get the strip steak and the seafood cakes! The fried items (calamari and onion rings on the steak) were a little overcooked or sitting a tad too long - but that’s a Filipino perspective, the hubby liked them just fine. Blackened ahi was cooked to his perfection. Lots of seating on the patio, and some in the air conditioned dining room, and lots of parking in the Kings Shops lot. Server was prompt and attentive, couldn’t ask for more.
Nothing super special but quick and attentive service. Had the crab cake and it was pretty standard a little bit drier than Tommy Bahamas. Had the Manila clams white sauce and it was 4 stars for me. Got the 1/2lb cheeseburger and my kiddo ate it up so I think that was a hit! Worth a try.
We had dinner here while on vacation and it was all very good! We sat outside with the live music and it was a very nice atmosphere. The pork ribs were delicious as was the mud pie dessert!
A-Bay's is one of many restaurants in the Kings markets near the Hilton Waikoloa village. I got the Korean BBQ plate and the chicken was greasy and overcooked the beef was basically jerky. The fish taco tortillas were undercooked and a little gross. Service took a while to place our order and we were then told one of the items on the menu after we ordered it was out. Once we replaced that item in our order everything came out at once appetizers and meals.
We had a wonderful time here. Our server was so nice, and the host was very accommodating. We weren’t sure about the rain so they moved us during dinner and were very helpful. They had lovely live music from a ukulele player and it wasn’t too loud.
I recommend the lychee martini (not too sweet, not too strong), and the following food items were EXCELLENT: manilla clams, pork adobo, and the pork lechon (ask for extra adobo sauce on the side or the lechon is a little too dry).
I’ve had Filipino pork adobo many times and this was the first time I saw it served like ribs. It was so tender and delicious!!!
I will say the food was a bit salty but we love our food salty so it was perfect for us. Ask for a side of rice and it’s just a lovely meal!
This was a really mediocre breakfast experience at best. The restaurant is nicely styled and clean, but from there everything is a let down. Food quality no better than a free breakfast at a chain motel. Staff didn’t seem to care much, they weren’t rude but weren’t friendly either.
I would’ve overlooked the attitude of the staff if the food was better.
My eggs were barely cooked, u ordered over easy, but this was almost less than that and they were cool. Potatoes probably came from a bag and barely heated. Two sad pieces of toast with not butter or jelly.
Apparently, this is the closest place to get breakfast at a reasonable price is Waikoloa. The food was very good and plentiful. Great flavor. Corned beef hash was highly recommended and did not dissapoint. French toast was nice and thick, and luingisa sausage savory. Service a bit slow, probably due to lack of help
