I got to see their new sign go up in the new location. It must be a really exciting business decision. There's definitely some trade-off, the main one, veing the distance. I wish you'll the best. I'm happy to see the ample space and matching t-shirts. The spring rolls were really good.
I gotta say Pho is not one of my fave thing to eat, but I heard they had a lot of new items on the menu, that were supposed to be good, like the potstickers and the sandwiches. I saw this chicken salad on the menu, and that look interesting by the picture on the menu at least.
Yeah, the pot stickers were good and the sandwich was good and they didn't skimp on the meat like some reviews said. But what was the surprise was the chicken salad. I gotta say, this is waaay "authentic". I thought the chicken part was gonna be cut up strips of white meat breasts or something, but no, they were chopped up steamed chicken with yellow skin. Asians love this kind of chicken, but if you are mainstream and prefer your chicken without bones and rubbery skin, this dish is NOT for you. Very authentic. The salad part I was expecting some lettuce salad, but there was no lettuce, but more like a coleslaw. But that was super tasty. Maybe just get the salad and put the chicken pieces aside if you want. The dressing is like nothing I ever had.
This new location of 999 Pho is really nice and well lit with all the windows. Service is fast and the food comes out in no time. I think one of the best buys on the menu are the potstickers, you get 10 for just $9.00. Most places you jus tget 6 for like $12! These are the deep fried kind and have a bit different filling than the Chinese ones. We got the egg rolls too, you get 5 for $8.00 and they are nice and big and have a more meaty filling than the chinese ones. Give this new place a try. I'll be coming back
Very popular restaurant in Reno and Sparks with the best Vietnamese food in town, and better than most restaurants in California that we have been to.
The food was excellent, I had the pork with shrimp and egg rolls over vermicelli noodles. We also got the spring rolls and Thai tea. Everything came out quickly. The restaurant was packed- but I don’t find that to be a bad thing as it means they are good. I hope they have continued success.
Food is always delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the choices available.
Fast service, good food. Service very so so. Example: dumped appetizer quickly on our table and ran off, but there were 3 of us. Are we supposed to eat over the bare table?? Couldn't signal anyone to help. Chicken Pho didn't have much vegetables.
Pho is my ultimate comfort food, and this was a nice spot to get it! Yummy broth and beef balls. They really filled up the bowl! Tables filled up fast but the servers were very attentive and I got my food pretty quickly. Definitely curious to try out the other items on their menu.
