Amazing food, plenty of parking. Polite servers anf great atmosphere.
We come here at least once a month and always have a great experience. Like all restaurants, sometimes your order comes out slightly wrong but they’re always quick to fix and so friendly.
Our server today, Vicky, was fantastic, following our usual trend of great service. Never take hold fever off your menu!!
We are frequent patrons & Rewards members of the Vernon, CT 99 location. Today was our worst experience ever, by far! We waited at least 5 minutes at the hostess counter before our presence was acknowledged by anyone. Then, it took another 2 to 3 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was very impersonal and rushed. She seemed, especially "put out' by our request to use our Rewards card & earned benefit. While servicing another table, our waitress dropped a container of applesauce, which splashed on my husband's hair & shirt (Also on our table & booth seat.) She seemed almost in disbelief that it landed on him at all and stated "It's only a little bit'...which it wasn't! Now, about our meals... I ordered a Southwest chicken salad. In the past, when I've ordered this dish, the chicken was served warm. Today, however, the chicken was ice cold with congealed fat on it. When I questioned this, I was informed by our waitress that the chicken in this dish is ALWAYS served cold because it's "pre-cooked." How unappetizing! I reiterated that I've had it served with warm chicken in the past. She took my salad & apparently went and conferred with the chef & manager. Then she came back to argue her point even further... Again, stating this dish is ALWAYS served with cold chicken unless they're "out of cold chicken," then and only then would it be served warm. Interesting!!! At this point, I unfortunately decided not to eat a meal with my husband. I did not feel confident that a salad replacement would acceptably prepared, especially given the somewhat hostile environment. What happened to customer service & actually caring about making the customer happy?! Prices have increased drastically, and now the waitstaff, while expecting higher tips, feel totally comfortable arguing with their tip source...US!! The customer!! I would NOT recommend this location because of the subpar food & service. If you're looking to sharpen your debating skills, this is the place for you! However, we will be spending our hard earned dollars elsewhere!
I went to the 99 restaurant in Vernon CT for lunch after leaving a Dr's office&Ordered a Classic burger cooked Medium well.Unfortunately it Came out nearly Raw! After waiting awhile to get someone to send it back so it Could be Cooked Correctly, it Eventually came back well done so I ended up Settling for it because I was Starving at the time!! It Will be awhile before I Return to this 99 restaurant because I Felt Disappointed with the Initial Experience of (Undercooked Food) ???????????? the Bartender Kelly Tried to Correct the situation as best as she could? This is Why I'm Only Giving my HONEST Review of this 99 restaurant in Vernon CT of 3 stars
We went there with 12 people today after my granddaughter's preschool graduation. How cute! How cute! How cute. Anyway and our waitress was wonderful. She had other tables and couple times her other co-workers helped out. Things went very smoothly. Food was pretty good too . Everybody had a variety of things and no one complained about anything
Been coming here for years and yesterday we did not have a great experience. First off the floors were dirty and gross, then we watched an employee grab a roll off a different plate and serve it to us, they also gave my mom a baked potato instead of corn. The Marsala linguine tasted terrible, I couldn't even finish it and my plate was still full when we left. Then one of the waiters shattered a plate and we saw her and another employee sassing each other about it. I'll say our waitress I think is named Valorie did a great job and was very kind. On our way out we could see other people didn't finish the Marsala either, it was really bad.
I recently ordered some takeout from here and it was pretty good! I got the spicy chicken sandwich and my wife got the barbecue chicken wrap. She loves the 99. The chicken sandwich was decent. The "spicy" element was only a sauce, I would've liked the whole cutlet to be dredged in some sauce or something.
The curbside pickup was fine. The lady who brought out the food had some issues with the card reader but eventually figured it out. The food kept well on the drive home.
The service was pleasant unfortunately the meal was bland lacking flavor I ordered seafood trio it was drenched in a water base and had absolutely no flavor. The fried cauliflower was excellent.
The presentation was great though.
