Best WLM Reviews

So, this is the first time I've gone to a steakhouse where you cook your own protein. Excellent experience!! Step 1, pick your protein. Step 2, grill it and some toast, step 3, return to table and devour with your sides. Overall awesome place, When I return, I'll bring the wife and we'll cook together. Great pricing structure as well!!
My wife and I were in steamboat for a minnie vacation and we like to try neat places to eat. At first we were a little concerned about having to cook our own protein for dinner. Upon reading some of the reviews we decided to give it a try. After picking out our steak and chicken we went to the grill and cooked them at the suggested time. Both my steak and my wife's chicken were delicious. The bartender Wesley was friendly and helpful. Next time we are in town we'll have to have 8th Street again.
First off- before you go, know this is a “cook your own meat” steakhouse; we didn’t realize before showing up for our reservation. If you’re good with that, know that it was a wonderful experience. Our butcher that helped us pick our steaks gave us the perfect cooking times for our desired temp. Sides were great (we had twice-baked & brussel sprouts). Salads are bottomless, and though our first bowl had some lettuce that was on the edge, the second bowl was fresh and wonderful! Best was our server Gracie- she was amazing! Really took care of us, thoroughly explained everything & kept us with drinks! (And thank you for your above-and-beyond, Gracie!!). Super fun experience.
They have amazing steaks and you have to cook your own steaks i never see that in any other places. Inside is little smoke because of the bbq. Waiter was so nice and inside is cool.
Hands down the best Steakhouse! Scott, our waiter, was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. Ian, Steak connoisseur, was friendly and helpful. Joel, the Owner, was friendly and courteous. My husband cooked our tasty, tender steaks to perfection following Ian’s suggestions. Endless salad, broccoli, Texas toast and baked potato were all great too! A very enjoyable relaxing meal and evening.
It should be clear that you are expected to cook your own food here. No joke. They hand you a raw steak, shrimp or salmon and point you towards the grill. I cook my own dinner about 4 times a week. Cooking my own food is not a novelty. We left before we had to wash the dishes. Server was as great
The Kobe steak, twice baked potatoes, crab cakes were the best I have ever had ! Be sure to save room for a dessert called 8th Street Tater!
The steak was amazing! However, management, Joel the manager on duty, was another story. We had a reservation for two for bar seating. We walked in and was greeted by the hosts, the young gentleman was going to to seat us at the bar, Joel the manger yelled across the bar due to he was behind it. That it was for his brother, and stated I'm surely not his brother. The young gentleman, seated us at another spot within the restaurant. I stated that I didn't want to be served by him or be on the bar area. About 10 to 15 minutes the brother and his couple of friends came and sat down. At the bar and 20 minutes later they moved to 4 top. Not only was he rude to us, he is extremely rude to the staff. He should not be in the restaurant business or in management due to his treatment to employees. With a toxic personality, and also using the restaurant as his personal spot for his friends and family to come and hang out. This should not be tolerate at any
time or location.
