This place has been around for quite a while. I’ve been here many times. It seems to have changed owners along the way, but the food remains fresh and very hot to your table. Service was excellent. We did not have to wait in line and the food came out quickly. The ribs were delicious. My friend had the pork with the garlic sauce. It showed one pepper on the menu. It was quite spicy for him. I had vegetable lo mein that was excellent, and the ribs were very meaty yum…. I highly recommend it and I think you’ll love it. The prices are very reasonable. Find me next time looking for something new always
The place looks clean. The food is good. The service is good. The portions are a bit small.
My family celebrated (11 of us) my nephew's birthday. Our server was great (wish we got her name). Prices are reasonable. Food and portions were large and delicious. Food came out quickly. Only downfall it was so cold in there. We definitely will be back. Another shout-out to our attentive server!
Restaurant was clean and the waitress who served us was very kind! We didn’t like the soup we got so she offered to get us a different kind, free of charge, and then gave us complimentary mini calendars! The food was delicious and the portions were great, everyone got full and we took home leftovers in very study, reusable containers. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Let me tell you, 888 Chinese Restaurant is the place to go when you want fresh, delicious food and service that’s so on point, it’ll ruin other restaurants for you. One of my biggest pet peeves at any restaurant is running out of something to drink. You know the struggle, halfway through a bite, choking on a dry mouthful of food, waving down a server like you’re signaling a rescue helicopter. That doesn’t happen here. In fact, I’m convinced the servers at 888 have some kind of sixth sense. The moment my glass is even close to half-empty, they swoop in like hydration ninjas, ensuring I never go thirsty. And it’s not just once or twice—it’s every time. Over the 50 times I’ve been here (yes, I’m basically a regular), they’ve never let me down. As for the food? Always fresh, always flavorful, and always leaves you wishing you had room for just one more bite. Whether it’s their crispy egg rolls, tender beef dishes, or perfectly seasoned fried rice, every meal here is a win. If you want amazing Chinese food and world-class service that will spoil you for life, 888 is the spot. Just be prepared to set the bar so high, you’ll be disappointed anywhere else. Trust me, your stomach (and your glass) will thank you.
The food was superb. I really enjoyed the egg drop soup and feel it is one of the best I have ever had. Also, the eggplant was excellent. The service was prompt and the waiter was very polite. Something I have never commented about on a review is about the chairs. Very plush and comfortable. We ordered the lunch specials and we're priced at about $11. The portions were large and the food was hot and tasty.
I’ve been going here for some time now and I had no problem. Until I had a young guy(idk his name) served me and my family and I hated it. Whenever he serves, he never comes back to the table to ask if we needed anything. I always have to go ask for what I want up front. I noticed that he would go to all other tables except ours, and I just over look the situation. Also, an advanced looking lady (Idk her name) literally told me ( so you’re not gonna tip me?) after giving the worst service ever. On another day, I came in with my baby, and she did not provide a sit for my child. Just for another family to walk in and she immediately provided a sit.
I can go on and on about the trashy and nasty attitude of the servers. The way I and my family got treated at this restaurant everytime made me feel some type of way. I tried to not think about it but it appears that the young guy and the lady are both racist. When I refused for them to serve my table, the end up not sending someone else.
The food tastes good but the over attitude of most of the workers is really nasty. It’s like they’re been forced to come to work and then the unleash their anger on customers. I really think they need a kind of training for them or something.
Great Chinese food, the best in the contiguous areas of League City. Years of consistent great food and service. I have never had a bad experience here weather dine or take out. Always hot and exactly what was ordered. The staff Is always happy to help attentive and checking in on you.
