Best WLM Reviews

I ordered a forgettable seafood medly dish that supposedly contained lobster, crab meat (their words on the menu), shrimp and other seafood. I ordered ahead of time for pick up, and my food was handed to me after a 15 minute wait beyond the agreed upon time. The lobster(?) perhaps it was a half of a tail of a small warm water lobster. It was so tough I could not cut it with a fork, nor could I barely chew it with my teeth. I am not expecting an abundance of Maine lobster in an $18 take out, but I would expect some edible lobster bits. The crab was in fact imitation crab. Again, my expectations were not high, but I was expecting some small portion of real "crab meat" (their menu words), perhaps some eastern blue crab or something similarly modest. I can give 888 two stars instead of one, as the orange chicken I ordered for my wife was acceptable for Chinese takeout.
I have been coming to this place for 8 years. The food is always great! Sorry this is my first time leaving a review. One thing I have to say is that I was very disappointed when you told me you no longer make a foo young of all foods it is my favorite. I hope you can get someone to make it again I will be the happiest person in Ames. Keep cooking you're good food I appreciate it very much. Thank you.
I have to say this place has my favorite Chinese fried rice, "Special house fried Rice" with extra Shrimp ????... the flavor take back home with the memories. I love it and the girl that take the order is so nice and friendly.
They used to be really good but the quality really depends on who takes your order. The young guy will change your order without telling you. Say you want it spicy? You're getting mild at best.
My boyfriend and I always get the best seafood every time. Family Platter A is our favorite. The Cajun Spicy sauce is actually SPICY. Lilian is so welcoming and cares about customers. She takes really good care of us whenever we dine. We really taste the passion her and her family bring with this restaurant. We highly recommend trying!
I don’t like giving reviews but it deserves warning… I got sesame chicken with white rice, first time there. The chicken was a bit bland but not bad, I’ve definitely had worse, however… I’m really concerned about the rice. The whole time I tasted something funny but I wasn’t sure if it was the rice or my drink (not from there) or something else. My suspicions were confirmed when I took another bite of the rice and I tasted something that I can only describe as death. Like how a dead mouse would smell, that was the taste in my mouth. I spit it out and needless to say I probably won’t be back. I don’t usually leave reviews but if something really troubles me I do. I seem to be doing fine today, so far, as far as my health goes. ????
I couldn’t give a one because the staff was very friendly. My food experience was just below average. :(
Awe-inspiringly authentic! I ordered the mooshu beef and I, being as white as I am, was completely oblivious to the contents of the dish beyond the beef itself. Fortunately, the food was so good that I really couldn't care less about what was in it. Don't ask questions. Just eat the food.
Additionally, it's worth noting that the staff are extremely nice and very fun people. I folded an origami crane out of one of their paper menus, and the cashier kept it! Very good people with wonderful senses of humor.
Definitely meant to be a take out kind of place. It was our first time eating here and we dined in. Food was served on paper plates. Cashier had ear buds in and wasn't helpful answering questions about the menu. The food ended up being amazing but I thought it was crazy their substitute pricing for fried rice over white rice with a meal was $5.50.
