First time trying this place today. Everything was really good. I ordered the triple delight clay bowl. Super hot and fresh. So hot it was burning my mouth! Wonderful spice and the vegetables were so good. I definitely want to return. I highly recommend this dish along with the plum wine that was amazing as well.
I have been to two of their locations, Baytown and Gulf Fwy. I pop in at the Baytown location frequently and lived at the Gulf Fwy location from 2013-2015 when I worked in that area.
My lunch today 12/12/2024 - hands down delicious!
This is the LUNCH SPECIAL - spicy chicken in garlic sauce sub with their house fried rice, wonton soup with soup crispies and a drink.
Portions = starter big back
Service = quick and efficient. Mind you I went at NOON and I hadn't even finished my soup app and my food was being set in front of me for me to enjoy.
Atmosphere = gives clean Chinese aesthetic Restaurant vibes, I'm here for it.
It's not a hit or miss for me. It's always a hit.

Delicious! Clean restaurant. Hot and fresh food. Great service. We come here for dinner sometimes and every Christmas Day, I don’t like to cook Christmas dinner so it ends up our fun family tradition and easy on Mom. Food is plentiful, we always take some leftovers.
They were so friendly and ATTENTIVE, it it’s one thing I hate about going to a restaurant is getting a drink and only one refill or none. They were on top of EVERYTHING. Great service, amazing food, huge portions and amazing prices. We got all of this for $47! That includes two sodas, an order of crab wontons, boneless ribs, and two lunch specials!
888 Chinese has been in Baytown for some time now, and it is no doubt why. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The aroma as I walked in was very welcoming. Seating was quick for a Saturday night. The wait staff was very nice and patient as I have never eaten in this establishment before.
Once I finally ordered the food was on my plate in 20 minutes. Incredible turn around for the taste and quality of the food. The price was more than affordable. I definitely left satisfied with the service and the food. Best advice incan give: be nice to the wait staff, and tip well. Unless the service is terrible, which is something in my exposure you won't experience at 888 Chinese.

So grateful we didn't have to go all the way back to our favorite place in Katy, TX. Everyone here is equally professional and hospitable. Sweet and sour sauce for the chicken is sweetened tomatoe soup, also got the pepper beef and it came with 3 pieces of beef and the rest alllllllllll bell peppers and onions inside of a soup base. So soul, no taste, nothing really special. Better than Panada express by 0.01%.
Food was really good. Food came out so fast. We ordered a shrimp fried rice and a general t so chicken. The shrimp fried rice has a good shrimp flavor and the general t so chicken was crispy with a very savory flavorful sauce. It’s pretty on the inside with a calm and relaxing environment. The tvs have movies on for kiddos so it’s great family place. They also serve ice cream to the kids and servers make the experience fun for the whole family. This was my first time here and it’s the absolute the best Chinese food ever!
