After discovering 85° Bakery on a cold, rainy day in Shanghai, it was a joy to see 85° show up in my quest for egg custards.
Everything I have ever tried has been delicious! Excellent lattes and other drinks and baked goods are always fresh and near perfectly baked.
If you haven’t already, try an egg custard!
We love this bakery. They always have a nice selection of pastries, cakes, and drinks. I’ve always been happy after each visit here. They make nice strong iced coffee drinks. Their teas are also refreshing. The drinks tend to be on the sweeter side, so I always ask for less syrup/sweetener for drinks.
Love this place for their pastries,buns and beverages but they really need to fix the quality of their hot beverage cups. The cups they use is flimsy and not strong and appropriate to hold hot beverages. I have been noticing this since quite a few times now but today when i ordered myself a hot coffee I felt the same. I was scared to bring the hot coffee all the way till my car thinking it will spill coz the cup is not strong enough to hold it in.
When I reached my work I shared my thoughts with my colleagues and showed them the cup and they agreed. Until it actually spilled right out and it was caught on camera.
Please fix your hot beverage cups before someone really gets burnt.

I got a blueberry muffin, and when I broke it apart to eat in pieces, I thought I was biting into a blueberry but it was a piece of mud. It tasted like gravel in my mouth. I had to pull up somewhere to inspect it. It was nasty and I am so disgusted. Never visiting this place again, and I was a regular. The piece was bigger than what is pictured but I rubbed it with my fingers because I couldn’t believe that it was dirt.
My favorite "go-to" place for pastries and "pick-me-up" drinks! Love that they have rewards point system membership that you can use to redeem freebies! Love the various selections of fresh breads, cookies, and cakes! They both have sweet and savory selections. Been a long-time customer way before they opened the Sugarland branch. We used to go to the Bellair branch, which is far. I like the place a lot, though at times, it is kind of annoying when I came by early (right after opening), some of my favorites are not yet available. And when I came by late, some were already gone. I guess that's the price of serving freshly baked bread.
This is a great bakery to get delicious breads. They have a vast selection of flavored breads, small loaves of bread, whole cakes, and slices of cakes. They have coffee, and boba tea too! It’s everything you need in a store for breakfast or just for snacks.
However there is limited seating space so not suitable for big groups to chill and chit chat.
Use their app for deals, collect points, and to know the latest products they have in store.
I love coming to this place so much, and I just wanted a little sweet treat with my family but was only carrying cash. I understand I came in 20 minutes before closing but the worker looked at me dead in the eye and looked me up and down when I was holding a $5 bill and said “No” elongated with an attitude. I was baffled cause like what do you mean no? I’m just trying to pay. So I reply “What?” and she says “No we’re not taking cash right now”. Since I only had cash I proceeded to say okay never mind then and walked out. I wouldn’t be so upset if she would’ve told me that in a nice way. I work in customer service too and I know it’s not that hard to fake being nice for a 2 minute interaction.
I ordered a Peach Green Tee. I also got a Milk Pudding, which is my favorite. Service was quick and polite.
