Loved the sponge-like bread with cream and chopped almonds!
Not all items are fresh though - we went in the morning, and one of our baked goods tasted like it was made the other day. Overall solid!
This location is a great example of what poor management can do to a great franchise - unkept store, long lines, out of stock products, and on top of all of that HORRIBLE customer service - she was rude, confrontational, and condescending (her name was Brittany). I’ve been to many 85c Bakeries in California, even in Taiwan, and this location is an embarrassment to the brand.
Will be avoiding this location from now on.
The baked items are really good. We bought 2 big boxes of goodies 2 days ago and still eating them up to now. We just wanna eat everything.
My wife and I like this Bakery, but it is serious hit and miss when it comes to being clean and ready for customers.
At this specific location and we’ve been to others as well and it is hit and miss when it comes to being clean. Sometimes they are packed and other times, like tonight, not very many customers at all. Pretty dead! So no excuse for a dirty store.
Floor was dirty and needs a sweep and a mop. The tables were all dirty and most of the chairs too. Worst part is no one cares. It’s just dirty and not a single employee seemed to care. The men’s room was out of paper towels, and yet not a single employee ever checked the bathrooms to make sure they were clean and stocked. It was trashed as well with tissue and paper towels all over the floor. And you know their staff use it too, and it still didn’t get done. So do they even wash their hands? Makes you wonder. Then the trash can was so full it was over flowing. Again, no one took the time to do a walk through the lobby and clean it up.
Overall, very disappointed in their lack of urgency in making sure the store is kept clean and a serious lack of respect for their customers.
Do better!
I usually go there for bread and birthday cakes, today I decided to try their zebra oolong milk tea for the first time, and it was amazing.

My friend who is Chinese brought me here and it was awesome! I ordered a passion fruit tea with bubbles and a few pastries. They have a big selection of pastries and other sweets. Everything looked so delicious and it was hard to decide what to get. We ordered a sweet cheese mini pie, pastry bun with red bean inside of it, another bun with a sweet custard.
Unfortunately I can’t tell you what any of these were called but I will say they were so delicious. I wish we had one of these on the East Coast! The passion fruit tea was refreshing and I should of ordered a large!! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting California to find one of these bakeries and have a few pastries!!
You can get a delicious coffee, milk tea with/without a bobba, breads, cakes, pastries so on with reasonable price. Every Monday is buy one get one free coffee day.
Lately thier customer service has been very poor unfortunately. What’s wrong with the staff??! ( photo )
This lady was really bad customer service.
They aren’t nice and unfriendly.
Especially last time I went there , the cashier lady was very rude and unprofessional customer service ever.
My family were visiting San Diego and accidentally we found this spot. So glad we did! This place is so beautiful! The baked goods are wonderful. Use the puff of milk butter! It's getting addictive! Lovely spot, plenty of options and nice workers. Thanks for the great experience.
