Service was a bit wonky when we visited, but the staff was friendly, helpful, just forgot a few things and had to ask a few times for some items. It was not busy when we dined there in the bar area.
The interior is awesome, eclectic, cool, not over-the-top, or excessive in the amalgam of styles.
The food was delicious; margherita pizza (their specialty) from a beautiful wood-fired oven, and a shared Caesar salad which was the best we've had in a very long time.
Will return, for sure.
First time in and we'll be back. Gracious, friendly staff and Nelly, our server, was awesome. Tasty, and fresh food, with a twist on ordinary. Roasted cauliflower is a must.
Stopped by for lunch and ordered a “the Perfect Caesar salad” with shrimp added. It was on their $10 lunch special menu. It came out “very basic” and the portion size is rather small. Even the edges of the lettuce was brown. The 6 baby shrimp no tail added were barely seared and just cooked. Definitely wasn’t worth the additional $12. The service felt rather odd but “I have a job to do” manner. The lady server was great. But a guy came later as I was showing signs of almost being done. He clearly asked “are we doing okay over here?” I replied do you want my honest feedback? He said “excuse me?” as if he didn’t understand. I repeated it again. He completely ignored the question just to ask was I still working on my salad. And I thought that was rather typical if his only intention was to come over to collect my plate. Needless to say, it was NOT perfect.
However, the only thing I did enjoy was the ambiance and the old fashioned made next door via Bar One — now THAT was the only thing that came out perfect!
Loved sitting outside and the service was very good. The truffle fries were good, but small portion for an appetizer for four. The two pizzas were pretty good. We paid for the cauliflower crust but not entirely sure if they were actually cauliflower. By far the best item we had was the chicken sandwich. Massive order envy from my daughter! One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had!

I have been back several times since. I would recommend to anyone.
OJ was an angel, we come to 800 all the time, and I’m always open to trying any and everything on the menu because literally all the food is delish, but she really helped break down the menu for me and was very informative and helpful throughout our whole meal. Made our experience better which is crazy because 800 is always amazing. But she truly upped the atmosphere and made our evening better. Will be requesting her as our server for next time. Also the fig & cherry Milanese slapped.
Update: came again for the green salad because I literally dream about it! But ask for Hunter! His service was amazing.
Always enjoy coming here! The food and cocktails are so good. The seating can be a bit tight, but still a great date or girls night spot to enjoy
Hunter was the best!! Great service and conversation. He was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. Next time I visit NC, I’m definitely coming back!
