Best WLM Reviews
I stayed here in July and really enjoyed my time, I received excellent customer service from each and every member of staff I spoke with. The hotel lobby AND rooms are modern and well decorated, something which I noticed isn't common with NYC hotels.
The location is great with it being so close to grand central meaning you can access most places quickly whilst also being on a quiet street with the added bonus of having a doorman which makes the hotel feel safe and secure.
My particular room didn't have the best views and was quite small to what I'm used to but as I was travelling solo it was still sufficient and the room was clean, well kept and had a comfortable bed which is the main thing.
Id definitely recommend staying here ⭐
Just spent 4 nights and we were very happy with our stay. Had read a few concerning reviews but we had no issues whatsoever. Staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. Shower was hot with good pressure, the room door had no issues locking. The location was perfect too, close to everything in midtown without being right in the middle of it.
I had a great stay at the hotel. I was there for a business trip. The room was nice and clean. The staff was excellent - the front desk, doormen, folks who clean the rooms were very helpful and pleasant. They were very helpful also when I needed a slight late check out. Internet connection, heating/AC systems, hot water was great. Great location. Walkable to most places I needed to go not to mention the LIRR service into Grand Central made it super easy to get to and from airport. ||Two things to note - there isn't a restaurant on site but plenty around (including a Starbucks a half a block away for the Starbs junkies :-)). For me, I never eat in the hotel when I come to NYC too many great options to do that. The hotel is clean safe etc but a bit "vintage". So the walls are sort of thin you can hear people closing doors, talking. However, that never affected my sleep. In fact, I had several great nights of sleep here. That aside, I highly recommend the hotel will return.
Just checked out of this lovely property with my family (3 rooms), what a pleasant surprise! Well situated, short walk to Grand Central, 5th Ave, Bryant Park; this neighborhood (East Side, Murray Hill) is not early as congested as most areas in NYC. The bedding was comfy, rooms were above average in size, especially the king rooms. We had 2 kings/14th floor, 1 Queen/10th floor. The Queen bath was a bit cozy with the toilet right next to the bath/shower, the king baths were more accessible. What makes this hotel shine is the staff. Pre checkin, I’d asked for rooms on the same floor, we got the 2 kings together, would have preferred the Queen on same floor but we made it work. The front desk staff is super friendly, helpful, gave us excellent dining tips, and extra checkout time, essential with 3 kids! There’s no on-site restaurant or breakfast provided; there are 2 cafes (Tartinery, Park Ave Tavern) steps away. Highly recommend, I’d stay here again!
When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was prompt with all the services. Vittorio upgraded our room to a suite with an awesome view. The kids loved the upgrade and had a smile from ear to ear. I can’t say enough about the hotel, staff and the location. We will be staying there again.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. I was there for a business trip. The room was nice and clean. The fitness center was good. The staff was excellent. Victorio, Yenny and Lucy helped with our reservations and were excellent to deal with. I highly recommend the hotel and I am planning on returning.
We have stayed here several times, and it’s become our regular spot when we visit Manhattan. Very close to Grand Central Station, so you can get anywhere in the city quickly and easily, and walking distance to Times Square and Broadway. Rooms are comfortable and staff is friendly and helpful. Makes our visits easy and smooth, and we always feel welcome.
I would have rated this hotel slightly higher, but I really hate when businesses surprise you with additional fees when it's too late to do anything about it. It feels very duplicitous.
As other commenters have noted and, as you can see from the image, there is an added on "Amenities Fee" of $35/day that you're not made aware of until you check in. The "amenities" included with the fee are items that are normally free of charge with most hotel stays.
The staff was professional and nice, the room was okay, the location was amazing, but I really hate when places of business withhold information like this to trick you into paying them when you're on-site, as then it's too late to make other arrangements.
