Pros: My perch dinner was great that my granddaughter picked a whole piece up after tasting a little and ate a whole piece, I will be returning to try some other options. I liked that there was no up charge for adding mac and cheese as a side dish. The collard greens were seasoned well. The wait time was less than estimated. Everything was hot. The price was $15.60 for 3 whole pieces of perch and 2 sides of choice. The atmosphere is a 4 due to the presence of flies and no hairnets and gloves for workers handling food and cash register. Televisions were in good view and a nice seating area for waiting or eating. Hip-hop music was playing from another attached area. Plenty of parking was available at a lot next to the restaurant. I usually don't do restaurant leftovers because they don't reward well, but my last piece of fish was still good rewarmed.
Anybody with a bad review about this place is delusional. They have the best food and it’s delicious every time I come. The staff is also very nice and helpful. I love the peach cobbler too it’s taste better than mine. I usually get the catfish or spaghetti or wings.
I ordered a shrimp dinner and everything was AMAZING!! The breading melts in your mouth, yams are to DIE for and greens with the corn muffin was out of this world. I had no leftovers. My only complaint is that it has taken me 4 years to find this place since moving from Chicago.
Their portions are small especially for the price. Rice has no flavor, asked for extra sauce, got even less than I did before. Had 2/3 small pieces of broccoli with no flavor. None of this food has flavor, it tastes like water. Waited for 30 minutes, asked how long was told 7 minutes, 7 turned into 45 minutes, 45 turned into 1hour & 15 minutes. It was only two people ahead of me.
This food was delicious! We got the shrimp over rice,loaded fries and the snack wing pack. Everything was delicious, but those loaded fries got me. Delicious! We will definitely be back.
I got salmon over rice with greens & yams , the salmon and greens were extremely salty and also found 5 separate bones in my greens & bit down on one while eating.
I ordered a fried chicken dinner with fries and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was very very good. Seasoned very well and crispy. This is my second time ordering there and both times i was 100% satisfied.
Good food a little over priced . The sides were very small but delicious. Chicken was good but a dollar for that sprinkle of BBQ was not worth it . Good food just need bigger portions
