It was a big surprise to find this place, unfortunately I couldn't try their food since I ate next door without knowing the existence of this place but it was a great experience in general, a huge variety of beer on tap and on a bottle. Great atmosphere and fair prices, next time I'll make sure I order food and try other taps.
The Beer selection at 618 can't be beat! The vibe is incredible and I love sitting at the large center bar with a view of the whole space. Catch them on a night with live music too. One of my favorite spots in Marion!
I had been wanting to check out 618 for some time. It's one of a few restaurants that I hadn't been to. Immediately walking in, the room felt like a clean bar room. I went around 5 pm, so the place was full, but relatively quiet, aside from the overhead music. We were apart immediately met by our waitress after seating ourselves and given a menu. The menu was small, but sometimes I like fewer options, as long as there's plenty of diversity (which there was). I ordered the 618 Burger with a side of Taphouse Chips, which are basically homemade potato chips covered in a delicious sauce and shredded cheese. The bun was fresh, and the meat was cooked perfectly. Overall, I do recommend this as a place to eat, but it won't go down as a favorite because it just felt like something was missing - I just can't put my finger on what it is. It was clean, the staff were friendly, the service was good, and the food was great.
Nice drink selection and atmosphere. They had live music which was great. Food was pretty disappointing. I got a horseshoe and my wife got a burger. Both were overcooked and dry with no flavor. Horseshoe was on the smaller side for the price. Probably won't try the food here again.
Amazing delicious food. Great friendly staff. Ice cold drinks.
Husband and I stopped here on our way to St. Louis, we typically pick one restaurant to eat at on the way to our destination and then have it again on our way back home. But, we will not be returning to this one. We stopped here on Sunday (10/8) at 1pm. There was plenty of empty seats outside so initially we sat there but preferred a table inside, all the empty tables inside were dirty, had drinks and plates sitting on them so we were unsure if they were taken by guest. NOPE. We sat at the bar, after we sat and got menus the tables started getting cleaned off. We eventually moved to a table, waited a good 10 mins for someone to come get our drink order. We just got waters, that took 5 mins to be brought back out to us, when the server came back with our waters we ordered our food. My husband got chicken and waffles with a sunny side up egg, and I the French toast with bacon and a side of scrambled eggs. The chicken that my husband had was decent. Everything else we ordered (the waffle and the French toast) was covered in sugar. The French toast was absolutely horrible, way too much sugar and cinnamon and extremely dry, like it wasn’t fresh, it literally crumbled when I cut into it. I took one bite and that was enough. I don’t understand why you would cover a waffle in sugar. But the worst part of our meals were the eggs, his Sunny side up egg was fried, the yolk was completely cooked. And my scrambled eggs with cheese, GRAY. I was absolutely disgusted. I have never seen GRAY eggs. I thought it could have been the cheese but I’ve used pepper jack cheese in my eggs before, and it has never turned them gray. Safe to say, we will never return to this place.
Nice atmosphere and decor, but the food was really underwhelming. My Nashville hot chicken was so boring and tasted nothing like a NH chicken which is supposed to be dark red and heavy on paprika, this was pale yellow and vaguely tasted of Frank's red hot. Also I asked for no cheese and you could clearly tell they forgot and then took the cheese off because there was cheesey remnants left on the bun.
Boo.
First time visiting with a group of my wifes coworkers. Food was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food took a little longer than expected but I don't think our group let them know a group of 30 people were coming, so that is understandable.
I had a Steak Quesadilla that was fantastic. The fries and maz sticks were great too. Wife also liked her quesadilla/sweet potato fries and everyone I talked with really enjoyed their food and drink as well.
