Forget reservations (as called out on the online website). There was plenty of seating available. There are 9 - 4 person booths and tables of various sizes to seat 50. Only 3 booths were occupied when my wife and I arrived at 4:30pm.
The server let us pick a booth.
Atmosphere: sound system was playing 80's and 90's soft rock and top 40.
Since this was our first visit, we ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entres. I was surprised at how quickly they came!
All were delicious and probably representative of their flavors (not having tried Vietnamese before).
If you don't like to tail your shrimp, best skip that choice of protein.
IF you like Asian fare, give 575 Bistro a go!
The food was good, particularly the papaya salad and curry clams. The service was alright, we had a group of 5 and asked to sit in the large booth that they have but received a negative response from our server. She also made a few comments during our meal about how we should have sat at a different table. Overall not a terrible experience, the food is good so we would visit again.
Short review: prompt service, quickly received food, good food with quality ingredients, friendly service. Solid 4.5 stars. Get the ramen noodles!!
I would also like to note that 18% gratuity was added to our family's bill. Our family includes two adults and four children 15 and under, so I assume it is added to parties of 6 or more.
Detailed review for those who are into that sort of thing:
Walked in at 8:15 on a Saturday night after walking away from two other nearby restaurants with hour+ waits. We were just passing through and wanted somewhere we could be sat right away.
The menu is a little difficult to navigate if you aren't familiar with Vietnamese cuisine but our server was more than happy to offer some helpful recommendations and describe specific dishes to us.
Both appetizers we chose, Vietnamese egg rolls and fried pork wontons, were very good.
Our son loved and inhaled his drunken noodles with brisket. Husband and I tried it and liked the dish itself, but would personally have chosen a different protein.
Daughter's shrimp Thai fried rice was good, not overly flavorful or special, but very light with fresh ingredients.
Hubby and I shared a large brisket and filet mignon pho bowl. This, plus one wonton and egg roll app each would have been plenty of food if we had liked it and finished it. Unfortunately we both agreed there was too overpowering a taste of either cloves or star anise and even with a few additions of the sauces on the table we decided it just wasn't for us. This was our first time eating pho so maybe that's normal and just isn't to our liking.
Now on to the star of the table. If you love big, bold flavors, then I highly suggest the ramen noodles dish (not the soup, although this could be good, too, we just didn't try it). We chose shrimp for the protein but I'm sure it would be good with any option. For an extra yummy addition, ask for lime wedges and bean sprouts (I think these came with our pho but they were very good with the noodles). It is a bit peppery, but my 8 year old who is very sensitive to anything with pepper devoured it. They were so good I tried to order another one to go but unfortunately the kitchen had already stopped taking orders (they stop fifteen minutes before closing time for reference).
All the food arrived quickly after ordering, around 5-10 minutes after.
Servers were polite and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and offered adequate seating accommodations. Overall we think we lucked out with the restaurant lotto! Sometimes trying new things works in your favor and I'd say it definitely did this time!
We stopped in for lunch, and the service was great! The server was very busy but didn't miss a beat. The meal was timed perfectly, apps and entrées were hot and delicious. The Vietnamese coffee iced coffee was strong and sweet, and the Pho was amazing. The best thing we had though was the fresh spring rolls. We will definitely be back.
The food was average. We tried the Pho and another Vietnamese noodle dish. The presentation of the food was nice and the portion sizes are very good. However, the flavors were average to us. The inside of the restaurant seemed very clean and it was esthetically pleasing. The service was not the best due to lack of friendliness and lack of conversational skills. We have tried other Vietnamese places in this area that are better!
Absolutely amazing spot to eat! Enjoyed the pho, grilled chicken, and beef ribs. Would come here again and definitely recommend!
You have to try the pho. Broth is excellent! Pad thai was good and had a flavorful sauce. Portions are generous. Spring rolls were fresh and flavorful.
This Vietnamese place is wonderful! I was craving vermicilli and found this place online. I ordered B4. Food was very flavorful and it arrived quickly after I ordered. The shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly and wasnt rubbery. The veggies in my meal were delicious I thoroughly enjoyed having lunch here!
