Gouda mac n cheese balls were delicious. We also got the reuben and chicken strips. The fries were very good. Waitress was very friendly and we got our food pretty fast. Enjoyed our lunch.
If you've never eaten at a roadside grill, this would be a great place to start. We decided to stop in for dinner and see for ourselves how plentiful and amazing 571's food and beers were, and we were not disappointed
Upon arriving, parking was a little tight, but that's expected from a roadside establishment. However, once inside, none of that mattered as we were quickly greeted and seated within 15 minutes. While we waited, we enjoyed various craft and domestic beers from their selection
After being seated, our amazing server, Maddie, explained all the options and specials available. Looking around the dining room and seeing the food coming out of the kitchen, we made our selections
I opted for the massive and delicious walleye, which was nice and flaky with saltine crackers fried to a crisp, served with coleslaw and natural cut fries. My wife chose the best Reuben sandwich she claims to have ever had, perfectly fried on the grill so everything melted together
Our cousins ordered the Italian sandwich that had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. Lastly, the massive Henhouse burger was the talk of the table, piled high with all sorts of toppings. Our cousin devoured it with ease. There was a pizza to go which lost a few slices before heading out that had rich flavors of toppings, but the crisp thin crust was the winner there
Overall, great service, food, and atmosphere! Highly recommend to anyone looking for large portions and a good time while supporting local businesses!
Wow this place was great! Food was AMAZING! Staff was friendly and did a great job checking on us. This place is doing it right. Very clean facility including the restrooms. The place is popular so it’s busy but it’s worth it. We waited less than 30 minutes on very busy Saturday night. For being completely full it’s not so loud you can’t have a conversation. They have a great selection of craft beer also. I will definitely be a return customer!
What an awesome place, the food was phenomenal! The service was also amazing, our server Ashley did a great job and was very attentive. The beer selection is great for all tastes. And the best part about their beer is that you can tell their tap lines are clean. The beer tasted fresh and the glasses were clean. We had the Mac Daddy burger and it was great but the Haystack is apparently the most popular burger. We'll definitely have that next time!
Lots of great burgers options on the menu, I had the vampire slayer burger very cool flavor comb but over cooked the grilled bread
Food all needs seasoning, the fries were flacid, the onion rings were undercooked so the breading was doughy. The Mac and cheese balls were Luke warm at best and also under seasond.
Cool atmosphere inside. The place was almost full at 3:00 pm on a Saturday with a mixture of bikers, families and friends. The food was excellent and the servings are HEARTY. Hawaiian pizza was excellent, so was the Philly Sub and the Duke was huge and tasty. The fries were also excellent.
The service was not great. Missing part of our order and waited 20 mins to be able to even flag someone down to get our check. They clearly did not have enough help as our waiter was also wiping down tables and getting drinks but there was no sense of urgency.
Maybe it was just a bad day but our bill with tip for 3 adults and one child was $107 which did not include an àpitizer.
Hopefully things will be better the next time, if we go back.
This restaurant was everything a restaurant should be. It was clean and orderly, the service was great and there was good communication with the staff and the food was hot and excellent. Everything we had tasted fresh, well seasoned, well paired and high quality. 10/10 recommend which I definitely don't do often. Oh also try the pumpkin spice cider ????
