What a wonderful supermarket that has everything you want
High end for key foods.
They have a large variety of deli counter and buffet foods for those working in the area. It’s in the back left of the main floor.
I’ve yet to try it, but the store had a lot of other things I needed when I took these photos for future reference
The most beautifully stocked veggie wall. Always take pride in what u do and this guy def does!!!!
OMG I don't know how to describe my experience here. It's all really that expensive (I guess it's because they accept WIC and EBT). The first time I went to buy some frozen chicken and some tomatoes. All right, I self checked out because I paid by credit card. So, all good because it was an in and out. Recently, I went to make some purchases with my WIC card. I was surprised by the price of milk. I made sure through the app that the milk was the one that has approved the wic as benefits for the month of June. Then I reviewed the UPC and the list issued by the APL WIC OF NEW YORK STATE (Effective May 30, 2024) So I went to the checkout to pay, In front of me were two Hispanic women with children running around the store. They were waiting and apparently were also doing their shopping with WIC. The cashier swiped my card and declined my payment. I asked him why? If I used the app and checked the WIC OF NYS APL list, He just responded with a vague and disgusted attitude towards me (I think because he thought I was Asian) He simply said "I don't know" Then I asked if he could help me find the milk that the store allows me to buy with wic... He made a few movements with his arms and sighed as if I were bothering him. And I just said "thank you, I'll put back the milk on his place".
When I went up the stairs to exit I saw the cashier helping the Hispanic ladies look for the wic approved juice. Then I saw him attending to them without the same arrogant attitude with which he attended to me. I was really disappointed and I won't come back here. It seems like he didn't know that I speak Spanish and that I was born in a country where speak Spanish. I guess because of my Asian appearance he disliked me and he treated me in such a rude way.
The issues with this particular Key Food location are the following:
Quality: We have consistently found expired food on their shelves (make sure you always check the dates) and their produce is almost always bad.
Pricing: This Key Food is much pricier than all of the other local grocery stores including the Whole Foods that's a few blocks away. I found it to be double the price on quite a few items, including yogurt, pasta, and meat items. It doesn't make sense when the quality is this bad. When they do have sales, be careful of what you are getting for that discounted price.
Customer service: It's pretty much non-existent here. Employees don't seem happy here and management is not effective. Nobody seems to care about customers and everytime we come here, there are ridiculous lines.
Meat weights: The meat department doesn't weigh their meats properly so be careful or you may find yourself paying a lot extra for low quality meat.
Cleanliness and Organization: This store is just not clean and it's common to find things disorganized, out of place, etc.
After years of this being one of our neighborhood markets, we have decided to no longer shop here.
Actually a good grocery store in lower Manhattan, with variety and decent prices.
My place to go grocery shopping, usually have great deals like Chobani Greek yogurt for only $1, always fresh food, always clean.
I shop at this Supermarket whenever I have a Podiatrist appointment. I really need to move to this Wall Street area. Love it too much.????
