This friend and I decided to order something light. Traditional chicken salad. WOW. As we saw them coming towards us it was like a salad bar split into two bowls! We were both eating and talking when we realized our salads still looked like they did when they came to the table. We both took ALOT home. Of course it didn't help that we started with the stuffed mushrooms. Then WE were stuffed. Great suggestion Sierra. She was on point- AND friendly! FYI I had enough salad to make two more meals. I have to say, that was an incredible salad! Amazing!
I come here pretty much daily and this is the fourth time that I get this bartender. She is not bartender material. I am SICK and TIRED of how unwilling she is to be attentive to not only me but EVERYONE. New customers came in and it has been more than 10 min and they left. One server literally has been serving his own drinks all night. Some one get my regular bartenders back on the frontline PLEASE
Edit second photo this one bartender tried to get her to react and get on her Game and all she did was get on her phone and ignore him. I feel bad for him because he unlike most people actually cares about his job.
Then she goes on to tell another group who has been waiting long enough that she is all alone and that it has been busy. SHE IS UNWILLING to do her job.
While I gave 5 stars for everything, I only gave 4 stars for overall. The food and service was good. I was in a party of 6 with all individual tickets. Our server did a great job. I somehow left my wallet behind ????. We were there for lunch. I went back to my mtg and did not realize I was missing my wallet until almost 5 pm when I got home. I called the restaurant immediately, due to the phone system I was unable to get a live person on the phone. I tried several different ways of trying to get a person to answer. I did get my wallet back. I was extremely grateful. (That was a first for me to leave it behind ????) I was however very distressed over not knowing if it was there. I live about 30 minutes from that location. PLEASE consider having a person to answer the ph. The current option is to leave a voice mail, and a manager will get back to you. They don't have time to check voice mail!
We came in on a Tuesday evening, we're warmly greeted and sat down at a booth for six within 5 minutes. We had a great waiter, I believe his name was Nico, he was very attentive and personable. Our food came out hot and beautiful but lacked real flavor.
Overall, it was a solid average dining experience.
It saddens me to leave this negative review cause I loved 54th but the last few visits have not been great. Service was mediocre the food not great. I told my parter I'd give them one more chance. So I placed an online order on the app. When we got home my order was missing a side. I called the restaurant about 3 times never got an answer. It was a long day at work and the last thing I wanted to do was drive 15 mins back to get my side. So as I was going to eat my chicken fried chicken it was extremely dry. So that was my pushing point. I drove 15 minutes back to the restaurant. I spoke to
The manager on duty. I just asked if they could please replace my food. He was really nice about it. I got my order and drove home. I sat down and get ready to eat my meal
And it was just as bad or even worse. The brussel sprouts only had like 4 sprouts and full of grease. (Those are my favorite) the chicken was dry once again. I ate some of it cause I hadn't ate all day. This unfortunately will be the last time I spend my hard earned money on this location. I wish the manager cared enough to check my meal before giving it to me.
I never expected to write a negative review about 54th! Since is one of my favorite restaurants and I'm a weekly regular, however, this exact location is the WORSE! food was cold, the food took nearly an hour! To be brought to the table and I waited 20 minutes for the server to check in with my family 3 or 4 times! They need to hire more cooks, servers, and attentive people who aren't there to ride the clock and have people waiting to waste their time, they need to get on point with everything just like the best location on 1604 and Culebra and the RIM! Don't waste your time here people, take a further drive for exceptional service! This place sucks food was cold! P.S. A party of 10 next to us waited 30 minutes to be greeted and all walked out since no one stopped by to even offer water SMH!
We ordered the fried cheese appetizer (mozzarella sticks and cheese curds) and that was very good. The side of Brussels sprouts was also pretty good, a lot of vinaigrette though. My husband loved the loaded beans side but it has a little spice. As for the rest of our meal, the food was sub par at best and very overpriced for the quality. The meatball appetizer looked like it was going to be really tasty but the meat was way over cooked and dry. The mac & cheese tested worse than cafeteria mac & cheese. No flavor. My husband was excited to try the half rack of ribs, and he was very disappointed. He said they were very dry and overcooked. He also got the chicken tenders and they looked very dry so we took them to go. I’ve eaten at 54th Street Grill in the past and really enjoyed the food but it’s been a few years and the quality has diminished greatly. We didn’t complain about the food to the server, but I’m sure if we had she would have let us order some thing else. Our server was great and checked on us in a timely manner. Be sure to get on the waitlist ahead of time or make a reservation if you’re visiting on a weekend as it gets pretty busy. About 2 hour wait around 7pm. Our total was $60+ for 2.
Unpleasant dine in experience. Went for lunch / dinner with my husband & two sons. This was our first dine in experience since having our second child 7 months ago. I was not pleased with the service. Our waiter (would say his name but I’m polite.) we would have to hound him for refills of sodas, we were checked in once. Ordered during happy hour , my husband was the first to get his burger while our toddler & myself waited extra 25 minutes for our food. I would think food would come out together. Mac & cheese was cold as it maybe sat there while my chicken fried chicken was hot. Asked waiter after hounding him for a new Mac / cheese set. It never came after 15 minutes waiting . Had to ask for a manager and just pack my leftovers to go! Again this was our first outing as a new family with 4. It was not busy at all waiter was very pleasant at first , but sloppy at the end. As first time at this location I was not happy with the outing for a Thursday afternoon. Wish manager did more in taking care of our ticket but again I am not a person to be bickering about food just very unprofessional experience here.
