Best WLM Reviews

I hadn't been to 54st grill in a while and decided to go with my wife and was very disappointed in the food, my rueben sandwich was sent out ice cold, when it came back it was dry and it seemed like the thousand island dressing had ran away or was never on the sandwich, I must say, that was one of the worst ruben sandwiches I ever had,the beans was also sent out cold, my wife's fajita was OK,she was sent out wilted lettuce and tomatoes, talked to a manager and he offered us free dessert which was the best thing we had all night, still had to pay for all of our food though, like I told the manager we just wanted to address the poor food quality that was sent out, really disappointed in 54ts grill, I know this restaurant establishment sends better food out, when this restaurant was in North County in st louis it was always a wait, when we came tonight to this location it was almost completely empty, will never ever return to this location, absolutely horrible, another positive was that the waitress was super nice

Amazing waitress and food! Best sandwich ever Chicken Philly I think? Wow! Large, maybe a roll baked onsite id guess and scrumptious~so were asparagus spears only complaint is seated next to the bar but not all seats are, just didn't feel like making a deal of it.
I'm not from here. I came from NM to visit family. Came to this restaurant to try it out. The food is amazing. I got the Blackened Ribeye with steamed veggies. The service here is pretty good. Had a server and one on training. They were both golden. One of them is Aaliyah. I definitely recommend this place for sure.
Grace S. was an excellent host . She was very attentive and made sure our food came out fast and hot and our drinks refilled. Always great service here
I have no qualms about the food here. It’s great. A single experience and how it was (mis)handled, however, left a bitter taste in my mouth and made the whole visit extremely unenjoyable and frankly offensive. In short, our waitress brought out our drinks and was holding them in a very reckless manner. As she was putting one drink down, she had allowed the one of other two drinks (which was a sugared beverage) she had in her other hand topple over onto me, my purse, and my baby’s diaper bag, blanket, and car seat. Made no attempt to save it and it just seemed to happen in slow motion. Her reaction to it left me with only one question: “are you high?”
I spoke with the manager to let him know that I believed she was not acting right and had to be intoxicated in some way, and that he should check on her. I saw him speak with her a few times, but nevertheless, she remained our waitress and not a thing was made right for me. Myself and everything I had brought was sticky.
Nearing the end of my visit, the manager said in passing, “thank you for bringing that to my attention.” What an empty statement. And what’s more, I saw her spill food onto another person’s table as she was putting it down and had the same off reaction. “Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Oh no!” Words slurred, shaking, fumbling everything.
Truly a jaw-dropping visit.
Wow! We are a family with children and are always looking for restaurants that offer more “mature” meals that are also kid friendly. This checks every single box. The atmosphere is very laidback with the perfect amount of noise where you don’t feel self conscious about kids being a little noisy. The kids menu is EXTENSIVE! One of the best selections for kids I’ve ever seen at a restaurant.
Some notable observations:
Area with tables, a bar, and a flatscreen for more of a sporty atmosphere. Area with booths and standard tables for more of a dining focused experience.
Kids meals come with a drink, entree, side, and dessert for $6.50!
They offer 2 for $39 with an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert
The portions for kid and adult meals are large.
All of the grilled vegetable sides are DELICIOUS.
Servers are very attentive and pleasant.
We enjoyed our first dinner at 54th Street on Veterans Day. Prominently wearing our Marine gear, we were greeted with honestly exceptional hospitality. Our server Daniel was frankly on top of it all. He made great food suggestions, I in fact ordered the Blacken Salmon he recommended, and it was very good.
She ordered the Chicken Madeira, over mashed potatoes and we got a side of Brussel Sprouts. Now, the brussel sprouts where good, my side of macaroni and cheese, good, but that Chicken Madeira over mashed potatoes - slapped! It was so good, we came back the next day with friends and ordered it again!
That's right, twice in 24 hours. Still good.
Now, I will tell you, or wait staff on the second day, not so good. He could take a few lessons for Daniel. He literally forgot ketchup after asking twice, we were three couples and he could not have scrambled the orders more.
This second visit, I got the Chicken Avocado Grill, with french fries. I found the sandwich, again to be very well cooked, the fixing on the sandwich included perfected cooked bacon, vegetables that were not wilted and a nicely seasoned experience.
I would recommend, as the food was worth the trip, try to get Daniel, or be prepared to be patient with the staff.
Delicious food and great service. We got some fry me some cheese for an appetizer, the smash burger with waffle fries and gringo dip and the french dip sandwich with fries. Everything was to die for.
