Best WLM Reviews
So glad we found this place!! Thank you, Ms. Google ????. My husband and I have been looking hard for authentic Punjabi food. We wanted dishes with all the rich flavors of Punjab that’s NOT horribly spicy ????️ while still enjoying the tastes of the spices.
We tried 5 Taara’s weekend buffet and its hands down the best buffet in NOVA. From the appetizers to the main courses and the desserts NOT forgetting their hot masala cha. Everything was so delicious ????. The service was great too. It’s always nice to see happy, smiling servers. We also loved the beautiful holiday decorations. Will definitely be bringing our friends over next time.
Lastly, there’s a huge parking garage at the back part of the restaurant. We were here on a snowy cold rainy day and it wasn’t a pain to walk over.
We went to 5 Tara on a Sunday night when all the other nearby restaurants were already closed. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes on its menu and it was hard to pick. We tried the saag chicken, karahi paneer, garlic naan, aloo Paratha, sarson ka saag and makki di roti, mango lassi and gulab jamun. All the dishes had authentic taste and good portion sizes. Service was friendly. Loved the food in this restaurant and will happily visit again.
Enjoyed Saturday brunch buffet
$20 plus a person not bad for the amount of food and dish verity.
My wife was not thrilled, I would go back though.
We had lunch here after driving past it to go to another store. We decided to go for lunch. It wasn’t crowded at all. The server was very nice, polite and attentive. The food came out hot, fresh and delicious. The best Indian food we have tasted in the area. Also, Shiraz came by to make sure everything was good. He spoke to us and asked if the food was ok or if there was any problems.
The food was amazing and the naan was on point. All the staff was very polite and I had an overall great time dining at this place. I’m quite picky with Indian food, but this place definitely checks all the boxes. Definitely would recommend.
Where to begin with this disaster of a restaurant? It’s hard to believe this place was once a gem, with unforgettable food and an attentive owner who made each guest feel valued. Fast forward to now, and it’s as if all standards have vanished. The current management is completely absent, leaving the restaurant’s quality in freefall.
The food is beyond disappointing: bland, poorly presented, and lacking even the basic flavors. The service only compounds the problem—staff are painfully slow, inattentive, and seem more invested in avoiding work than in actually serving customers. At this point, it’s clear that offering feedback is futile. The owner’s responses are hollow, always the same empty promises and phone numbers, which have led to no improvement over the years.
If management genuinely wants to turn things around, the first step would be retraining the kitchen staff to produce food worth eating and drilling the basics of customer service into the waitstaff, who can’t seem to handle even the simplest tasks. But until there’s meaningful change, this place is officially off my list—maybe for good.
Incredible!!!
As soon as you walk in the doors of 5 Tara restaurant, you are greeted with an aroma of spices in the air, beckoning you almost to come inside.
Those familiar with Indian cuisine will tell you this is the first sign you should look for. I have heard about how good this restaurant is, but tonight was the first evening I had the pleasure of actually being a patron. My God is it good.
The flavors are spot on, but the best feature are the wonderful staff and owner who are as friendly as can be.
Looking very forward to returning soon for the weekend buffet.
After living in Delhi, it can be hard to find authentic Indian food in the USA. 5 Tara is hands done the best, most authentic Indian restaurant my wife and I have found in the DMV area. Definitely worth the drive to come here.
