Best WLM Reviews
After seeing how highly rated this place was with 10,000+ reviews, I had to give it a try. The service right away wasn’t the best. I sat for a while without water or any server coming to my table. The service itself could use some more attention to detail.
However, the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a cup of seafood chowder, a seafood mac n cheese, and a halibut fish and chips basket. The seafood chowder had Alaskan king salmon in it and was delightful. The Mac n cheese was also very yummy and had chunks of tender crab meat in it. The fish and chips though was something else. It was the best fried fish I have ever had in my life. The fish was so tender and the breading was crispy and savory. The fries were also amazing.
I would 100% come back to this restaurant when in town again.
Went in a Saturday night the wait was less than 25 minutes with 3 parties ahead of ours. Our waiter was Chris let us know the days specials as well as what paired good with what. He made sure our drinks were served and refilled timely. Food was awesome. The crab stuffed Jalapeños were definitely a hit should’ve ordered more. A decent price for the selection and food portions. It wasn’t a long wait for the entrees seems like we were finishing up appetizers just in time. Parking wasn’t to hard to find but the pay to park does get extremely crowded if you park and walk down will save time going in circles looking for a spot.
There is a reason this place is so well reviewed and the reality is the food is excellent. The restaurant is quite large but they seem to have it staffed well and are able to get the food out relatively quickly. We had some problems with the check where we were not told up front about some up charges so you may want to look at that a bit closer when you are paying but the food was quite good. The Yak burger was different with good flavor. The tater tots were outstanding and the pretzel was so soft and delicious. Their beers were very good as well. Overall would recommend but just check the bill a bit closer.
Service was incredibly slow. That was very disappointing. The crab legs were delicious. So was the yak burger. We liked some of the beer flights too. I’m also extremely annoyed by the 3% service charge. Maybe it’s because we aren’t from the area, but don’t tack onto my bill the cost of the back of house staff. Maybe just pay your staff appropriately? The price of food isn’t cheap here, so why are you charging people for the cost of labor?
Great restaurant, with delicious food, nice ambience and great service. We tried the yak burger and a pizza here. Both were excellent. Overall a good place to have a nice meal.
The food was so good! Shared some appetizers with friends- the beer cheese dip was a lot lighter than you’d expect and was great. It didn’t fill you up before your meal. The buffalo cauliflower was surprisingly really really good! The king crab legs was a lot of food and we shared it among 3 of us. It was SO incredible. The crab grilled cheese with a cup of chowder is so flavorful. I tried my friend’s halibut and it was seasoned so well. The desserts were equally good and they have seasonal items. I tried the peppermint crème brûlée. It was super tasty. The atmosphere during lunch was really relaxing and chill. Had a great time
I like the casual bar vibes. Our food server, Skyler was very helpful when asked what’s the most ordered dish in the menu. We liked everything we ordered - Crab Stuffed Jalapeños, Spicy Reindeer Pizza, Crispy Cauliflower, Yak Burger and King Crabby Grilled Cheese with Seafood Chowder which is the best in my opinion. Food and service on point, highly recommend!!!
This place is 4 stories and was extremely busy but I understand why. The food was amazing. I don't like fish but the had to try the halibut. Holy cow it was so good. The lemon butter sauce is fantastic. My husband had the yak burger. Also very good. Flights of beer. Nice views and a relaxed atmosphere. I wish we could have sat in one of the 3 outdoor areas but grateful to have a seat on a Friday night without a reservation.
Try the apple fritter beer. Holy cow it was good.
