Best WLM Reviews

Has every category of help you would expect a military facility to have besides an E.R. More flight docs would be nice, but everyone is friendly and helpful.
Doctors are great, but that’s most places. No one EVER answers the phone. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone. I have never called a clinic where I need to call over 20 times to get someone to answer. Even though when you walk through the clinic there’s people at the front desks pretty much all the time. The need more manning and they need to take care of their people.
If I could give them no stars, I would. It's like the PCMs don't even care about your health. It shouldn't take 2 months for me to have an appointment for a serious medical reason either. Lastly, I feel really confident with my healthcare when the assistance rolls her eyes at you.
Worst medical clinic I have ever dealt with out of the 6 bases I've been to. You cannot get a hold of anybody by phone because they turn the volumes down and don't want to work. Staff is rude. Get Tricare select and get seen off base.
The receptionist needs to be replaced. The patients level of care should not be determined by the mood of a receptionist. My 16year old has gone to every appointment on base alone. Well child check, womens heath, and immunizations, as the age of medical consent in NM is 14. When I take her I am left in the lobby as she is old enough to consent to her medical care. Even with my younger children as young as 11 at the end of their appointments I am asked to leave so they can speak to my kids alone. Today, the receptionist decided that my 16yo cannot check herself into her own appointment. She instead needs a parent. So my self and my two babies are in the parking lot waiting on my husband to come help with a flat tire. Once he arrives, I go inside to check her into her appointment. It was 14 minutes past her appointment time. We arrived at 10:27 for a 10:40appointment. The receptionist spent 15 minutes arguing back and forth with a teenager about whether or not she actually had gone to past appointments alone. She even went as far as to look up her past appointments and argue with her about when she had her well child check. When I went into the clinic we were told to sit and they’d be with us shortly. We were then told it is 15 minutes past her appointment time and they have a 10 minute window, therefore we can wait another hour and a half for the next appointment today (12:20)or reschedule. There was not a single person in the lobby. The appointment was just to get a referral to a dermatologist for acne. So because the receptionist decided she wouldn’t check in our 16yr old, her appointment was “missed”. What a waste of our time and the military’s time. We drove 30 minutes for the appointment for no reason at all, my daughter even provided them with my number to call me and ask me to come inside, which they did not do. Getting a referral could easily be done over the phone, however they decided she needed to be seen in person because now as a teen she has acne, but they have no record or indication in the past that points to her, a teenager, needing a dermatologist. What a joke. Even with a referral this town has few medical resources. If you can avoid this base, do so at all costs. Called the medical group line to talk to a patient advocate, hahaha they have a prompt to press 5 to speak to an advocate. After pressing five there is no other option to connect you with a medical advocate. Does this base not have one?
20 minute hold to get a script activated at the pharmacy. Out of stock on numerous medications that are readily available out in town. This unit needs more resources and training.
If there was an option for -1 stars I’d put ti. You’d be better off just digging a hole and dying then coming here. This clinic is a joke and nobody knows what they’re doing. By the time you’re able to make an appointment you’re already dead.
I was hoping that building a new clinic would mean better service, but I was wrong. It's impossible to get a flu shot at the clinic even though I'm high risk due to being asthmatic. They just try pawning me off on Walmart to get my flu shot. They treat me like I'm expendable because I'm not active duty. Then, when I try to schedule a mammogram, they ask me why I want it. What the hell kind of stupid question is that?! Then yesterday, I got a pap smear, since my last one was a few years ago. The women's health doctor had her assistant perform the pap, and I felt like a guinea pig, because she couldn't get it right. Then, the Lt. Colonel tried it, and she didn't do any better. She also caused some internal bleeding. I had major anxiety going in there, and I was in a lot of pain. Then, I tried talking to her about getting on a low dosage of hormone replacement therapy in hopes of reducing my post menopause belly fat and help me cope with my mild depression. She was talking too fast, and I couldn't process anything she said. She acted like my unsuccessful pap smear was my fault for tensing up. She was very unprofessional and condescending. Whenever I try scheduling an appointment, there's never anything available, and having asthma automatically makes me a high risk patient. Nobody there seems to care one way or the other. I tried calling patient advocacy to file a complaint about the lack of care I received, and all I ever get is their voicemail. This may be a brand new clinic, however, customer care has gone completely downhill. Tricare has no problem taking out our hard earned money for insurance, but nobody wants to help us when we need it. The only thing I like about this clinic is the coffee shop.
