Best WLM Reviews
Resturant is clean, restrooms clean, $42 for two very basic breakfasts and it wasn’t even hot. No service, so you have to get all your own supplies, and coffee isn’t kept refilled either…it was all self serve, but they have no problem asking for a tip where they take your order. Tip Culture is just weird ! Best part of this location is most definitely the RUSH & IRON MAIDEN
pinball machines!!!
After spending the night and spending almost $300 at this stop…couldn’t even get the parking meter to properly work to comp my $20 parking fee !
Second review:
Stopped by this evening for dinner. I had the smoked 1/2 chicken dinner. This is becoming one of my favorite stops. They are straightening out the parking lot for semi parking, which is nice. I'm starting to really looking forward to eating here. The chicken was really good. Moist, good smoke flavor, nice sweet from the brown sugar and a little kick from the spiced. They got several TV's going and they play my kind of music:-). The waitress is super nice and her husband works in the back. They got a good thing going.
I got the Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was fantastic! Big and juicy but not too messy. The baked beans were a bit sweet for my personal taste, but other than that they were great. The pickles were delicious too ????
There is also a dog friendly patio available for those traveling with their fur babies!
Wow, the food was amazing! ???? What truly stood out was my waiter, Vanessa. She went above and beyond to make the evening special. Attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, she made excellent recommendations and ensured everything was perfect. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and Vanessa absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back!
What I ordered:
- Jalapeño Bacon Chedder Burger
- Add mushroom, caramelized with the onions
- Add avocado
For the side:
- Loaded baked potatoe, with the extra fixings.
Great food and great staff. Every time I come here the food is amazing. If you are lucky enough to come in when Vanessa is working you will not be disappointed she is absolutely amazing.
Well, I made a wrong turn while going over to the Orville Hackensack Pavilion to see first hand, Gloober Kumwheeler and get his new book, Candle Wax for the Common Man and have him sign it for my neighbor, Fatso Mary Pearbottom.
I was early, and when I spotted the 49er Diner ..it was like getting a first down on the 1 yard line!
The food was perfect Diner food.

The service was great. The food was all kinds of wrong. I ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. The meatloaf must be their own recipe.. was cooked well and everything, but i was not a fan of the flavor. The mash tasted like it was made with spoiled milk or sour cream. It was definitely off. I asked what was going on with the mash, and they said I was the second to complain. They let me get a different side, so I got the tator tots. They gave me a ton of tots, and they were great. Until I found a hair that was about 6 inches long cooked into one of them (pic attached). I should have demanded a refund at this point but I just left after I finished my drink. Then to top it off the food made me sick in the night. I'll never eat here again, that's for sure.
Great service is hard to come by these days, but Sacramento 49er Diner is absolutely nailing it! We went back for breakfast last Saturday—our second visit—and it did not disappoint. Not only are the portions enormous and the food delicious, but the prices are unbeatable.
Beyond the incredible food, the service here is what truly shines. JR was running the front of the house like a pro—taking orders, working the cash register, and delivering food with impressive efficiency. When Monica, our server, joined after her lunch break, her sweet and cordial demeanor made the experience even better. She brightened our day with her kindness!
The breakfast burrito is a must-have, but after seeing the burgers and pancakes being served to other tables, those are next on our list. Can’t wait to come back—this place is a gem!
