Still with my parents. We went here to eat it was so good. Everything was delicious. They were continuously restocking the bar. I had chicken, pork chops, mac and cheese, and collards. Yummy will be back. The prices are phemonial for a buffet. It was very clean also. I did not take pics because it was a buffet. There were too many people around.
My first time visiting. Warmly greeted. Senior and military discounts. The buffet had a nice fresh fruit and salad bar. Tasty meats and vegetables. Cake and peach cobbler. The cobbler was too doughy for me. The mashed potatoes and beef stew were delicious.
It be hard trying to find good SOULFOOD these days. But LET ME TELL YOU HONEYYYY, first time and I will not stop coming from this day forward. Food was amazing! I started with green beans, Mac n cheese and meatloaf. We all know everybody can’t make a good meatloaf???? they sure did make me bite my tongue???????????? and the cornbread dressing was most definitely my favorite????! So, with that being said, If you are in the area or just passing through, they are right off the highway. Stop in and get you a good home cooked meal and jump right back on the highway. You will be fed well!!!
It is as it's named. It's a nice small mom and pop country buffet. It's a smaller buffet but the food has great flavor! Good variety of southern cooking. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere good music and open seating. Patriotic flags on the walls. If your from the south you'll feel at home.
Blond headed waitress was very RUDE today. I complained about having to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a drink that was paid for at my entrance to the restaurant. Then, she said, "I don't know what you ordered cause I was outside and just got back in." She said it in a very dismissive way. I told her to just forget the drink and give me a refund for it. She went and got my daughter a drink. Then, she asked others at table did they Want anything to drink. Nobody said anything. Someone asked for water as she walked away. She caught an attitude about that. The shift leader(Trent) came to the table and asked if he could get me a drink. I said "no", just a drink refund. He said, "I can't do that." It's on your ticket," no refunds will be issued by staff." I asked for the Manager name and number and he said, "I can't give you that." He went away and came back a few minutes later and asked if he could bring me a drink again. I TOLD HIM "NO", I didn't want RUDE people to get me anything. Then, he said, " this is your last chance, can I get you some water or something to drink?" I said I don't care how many times you come over, the answer will be the same. I don't appreciate rudeness by your waitress and I don't want anything from anyone that is rude to me. Customer service is of the utmost when I pay my money. I have a choice of where to eat and I chose this restaurant today ( wrong choice). If it was good, I had planned to come back. BUT not any more. I came 1 and 1/2 hrs to eat at this restaurant. I am soo disappointed.
Byron Country Buffet has become one of my most favorite restaurants to go to. I Live in Byron,GA with my family and we look forward to going there once a week after church. The fried green tomatoes, fried chicken wings and variety of vegetables and desserts and fresh fruits are my favorite foods to try. So, I encourage anyone to give it a try. All of the staff there are nice and courteous. Michelle along with the other staff are very nice, kind and helpful not to mention very friendly. They make you feel welcomed and right at home. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The server Addison is a delight and always keeping drinks filled and anything that is needed. She is always smiling and making sure my drink was filled and always a pleasant respectful girl. She is definitely a keeper there. Great job Ms Addison keep up the good work!!!
Warmly greeted by Dona at the register. There was one couple ahead of us in line and at least three empty tables waiting to be cleaned. We were between drs appt and decided to stop here for lunch. I told my daughter to have a seat while I paid, no since in all of us waiting in line. She went to a booth and waited for it to be cleaned and then took a seat. The lady that cleaned the booth gave her a lecture on how rude it was to sit down before paying and it was a manager's rule that you had to pay first before sitting down. Keep in mind I was paying at this time for both of us, and no sign telling you what the manager expects you do do. When I walked over to the booth my daughter was telling me about her lecture when the same young lady butted into our conversation and was very confrontational. At this time we quietly walked up to the register and told Dona we were not going to be able to stay for lunch and could we get a refund. She said sure let me get the manager she has to do the refund.....we'll guess who the manager was, the rude confrontational lady, Taylor. It's a shame because the food looked delicious, the greeting upon arrival by Dona was great but Taylor the manager needs some training in people skills, not a good look for the restaurant at all.
