Service was amazing. We were served by the manager, he helped us pick since we had never been here before. The brisket was amazingly tender, very juicy and flavorful. Ribs were so good, they didn't need any additional sauce. The pulled pork was so tender. The burnt ends were good, too saucy for my taste, but the flavor was good. They have amazing desserts too!! The chocolate cookie was so yummy!!!
Nobody ever answers the phone here! No matter what number you call they put you through a central call center, which never answers the phone. Doesn't matter what time of day you call.
Not to mention, the prices are high and the portions are small. You'll do much better going to Mission BBQ, and they actually know how to answer a phone there.
It was so hard to give this place the 5 stars. But I had to think of the readers and not myself. You will see why below.
I was greeted by Guy (excellent server) as soon as I came in. He explained the moist vs dry brisket. It was amazing. Took my order promptly. He was super friendly but also quick.
The food had a great flavor and I was surprised by how affordable it was. The atmosphere was very much a bbq eatery. Some bar style seating and some lower tables. They also have an outdoor area. There’s fountain drinks you serve yourself and also i believe some alcoholic beverages. My order was out pretty quickly 5-7 minutes. Even afterward when the place got packed, I saw them whip out orders in less 7-10 min max.
Strongly recommend Texas Destroyer and the Smoked Jalapeños.
The reason I almost gave the place 4 stars is that I came there to try to do some work on my laptop, and even though they seem to have pretty good WiFi, there was not ONE working outlet in sight - literally none. There were three outside where a fan or TV would be mounted (super high, I had to climb on chair) and they gave my laptop no current. So I just gave up. I ate my food and left somewhere where I could actually get work done. So I guess they don’t want ppl sitting there long. Just come in, eat, leave.
Great barbeque, but boy oh boy, is it ever salty!This wouldn't be a good choice for anyone concerned about sodium intake, but barbeque lovers might enjoy the fare. We tried the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. The brisket sandwich was real sliced lean brisket (the fattier variety was also available), not the chopped product. It was excellent. The pulled pork was great too, piled high on the bun. There were sauces available but using them would only be pouring a salty solution on the highly salted meat. I have to say everything we tried was very good, but imagine that it could have been better if the amount of salt could be cut back by half or more. We liked that the restaurant was spotlessly clean. I'll pass along a tip.... every time we have eaten here, we have received sandwiches sliced down the middle. They come that way by default for whatever reason. Just ask that they not be sliced if you prefer one whole sandwich.
What I asked for:
Ordered by phone for pickup at 7:50 pm. That allowed about 30 - 40 minutes to cut 1 lb of brisket & pack 3 sides (4 if you count the cornbread).
What I got:
Waited an additional 20 mins to be served and checked out. I was better off ordering when I walked in! I would have gotten the slices and been out before I received my call-in order! But, I understand - ish happens.
The next issue though, no excuse. I got SHREDS of brisket. Like the hard unpleasant shavings! Almost looked like pulled pork (brisket). Only two whole "moist" slices included. Very disappointing because I wanted to make a sandwich out of it.
I called customer service right away. Hold time was almost an hour and I assume it timed out because it went to voicemail. Left a voicemail with name, number, complaint, and asked for a call back. I'm still waiting for that call.
Pictures speak louder than words in this case. I would love a resolution because $37 for this quality is surely not acceptable.
Normally love 4Rivers, but Smoked turkey from the holiday menu for thanksgiving was unfortunately not good. Super dry and the skin was leathery - we threw away all the leftovers. 10 guests and no one had seconds. Hopefully an anomaly and no one else experienced that for that for thanksgiving. It’s also smoked turkey, so for anyone that does not like smoke, it was very heavy smoke flavor. Just sharing POV ahead of more holiday order considerations.
Flavorful l, the brisket was a bit tough for my liking. The side options are traditional, good tast as expected. Need to try it again soon.
The person that took my order was fantastic. Very involved and cheerful. The atmosphere was great too. I ordered their brisket and it was good. The brisket quantity didn’t meet my expectations. I wish they include the weight somewhere on the large menu banner.
