Best BBQ I’ve had hands down in my 43 years on this planet. Tried several years ago in Jacksonville, had again in Orlando, and today is the second day in a row buying a platter with burnt ends, smoked turkey, collards, and the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. If you haven’t yet, I’d recommend registering on the website for rewards points, and you get a $5 credit just for registering! It’s so much food I had leftovers for dinner last night. The smells inside the dining area are mouthwatering, service is fast and the sauce flows like wine.
First time trying this place. It was ok. For the price, portions were small. Brisket is an upgrade charge. So 2 dinners x 2 upgrades plus the jalapeños were an upgrade too *only 2 tiny ones, one mangled, see photo. Over $50 for 2 dinner with 2 meats and 2 sides, one square. With tax and delivery $75. No real attention to detail. Mac n Cheese was not bad but it's not a baked version so no crispy breadcrumb/cheese topping like other places, small portion compared to other places. Pulled chicken, very tiny pieces. My husband had the pulled pork, it was better texture. All in all, pretty good but needs some improvement. Our DD got cancelled for some reason so they had to remake our food causing a 1 hour delivery time. Not the restaurants fault, I understand, just annoying. ????
Wedsday evening At 7pm. Wasn't busy and no excuses.
Gen Z inspired BBQ at its finest. Cafeteria Style cattle herding line with a dirty buffet line of sides all cross contaminated with beef and pork mixed with corn and collards and so on. Was a mess. Service was no better as it's a bunch of kids that don't even ask if your ready to order.
On to the food. You can save all of this with Good food.
Not here. Food... Well it sucked.
Pulled Pork is something that's about impossible to mess up. This one was mushy. In an over cooked nasty way. A texture you can't fix with BBQ sauce.
Burnt ends. 80% burnt pulled pork. Again Mushy. A horrible representation of burnt ends.
St Louis Ribs.... Flavor was decent. Needed note time on the smoker. Didn't remove the membrane. Not sure who thinks that's OK at $30 a rack.
Sauces. Not good. Three styles and they really were not good. At all. The spicy was not spicy. The pinapple Habanero tasted like it belonged on a poo poo plater.
Pulled pork sandwich with claw and jalepeno... Again refer back to the mushy pulled pork. It sucked.
Sides.... Beans are good. Mac n cheese horrible. Slaw is KFC but not as sweet.
The bread pudding was delicious.
On a side note. The best thing on the menu was our kids chicken nuggets. They actually were some of the best I've wber had. Their version of French fries are also very good.
If your choosing between this place or mission uo the road.. It's not even close. We won't ever come back here with way better options arround.
Well, here we go again with a review on a Cuban sandwich (GEEZ!). Mind you though, this wasn't any ordinary Cuban sandwich this was a 4 rivers special with some burnt ends on the side! After I unwrapped the Cuban it was just the right size to eat all at one sitting not too big not too small and the bread was charred beautifully crisp on the outside soft and delicious on the inside. Excellent quality meats delicious pickles & mustard. It was made just right, had that nice smokey flavor but yet moist tender and delicious. This was a great Cuban sandwich even though it was a barbecue smokehouse version it was an absolute stunner and can qualify as one of my favorite Cubans I've had since I've been working and traveling around Florida seeking the perfect Cuban sandwich this is definitely in the top three. Now onto the burnt ends I ordered a side of them so I got four beautiful burnt ends that were perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned the colors were magnificent The smell was amazing and they were so delicious and if they could talk they would have hit all of my senses on point at an absolute 100%, these burnt ends are phenomenal. The color and textures were just a sight to see and I can't wait to go back for more and try a rack of ribs and some other goodies to fill up my belly and make it happy like it did today. Go ahead and try the Cuban sandwich you won't be disappointed It tasted excellent with some of the four rivers sweet barbecue sauce added inside It was just a perfect sandwich!
My company gets their catering for lunch sometimes and it’s always our favorite !! Love their burnt ends and brisket! They have a sweet shop too which is my favorite part.
Been coming here for years but the quality has been going downhill this will be my last order with them ordered through Uber eats i had to ask myself if I ordered a kids meal these small portions are so ridiculous for what you pay. It never used to be like this when I go in person I have to ask if they will top up my side the container are half empty and they weigh everything. Loyal customers do notice these changes and it sucks that things have gotten like this. Container the side come in don’t hold much of anything feel scammed
We frequent 4 Rivers Smokehouse when we are craving great BBQ. I love the fact they have a great variety of meats (I'm partial to the burnt ends) and their sauces are to die for. We love eating at the N Dale Mabry location - staff is great, the restaurant is big and has a great atmosphere and the bakery is great.
Today I ordered take out for a family that just experienced a tragic loss. Having a take out option of great quality food, well packed and including all meal options was a nice option to bring to the family.
