Food is very bland and requires salsa to give it taste. Salsa has a good flavor. The margaritas were good. Be prepared to wait for service even if there are only two other parties at the restaurant. With so many good options out there, we probably won’t return.
Overall the meal was decent. The queso dip was $5 for a tiny bowl and hardly had any flavor and chips were too thick and overdone. We ordered sopapillas and it’s been a long time since I had one but I thought they were served warm, and were soft/ fluffy fried dough with honey and powdered sugar. This was literally a tortilla with cinnamon and sugar on it, and was hard as a rock, not sure if it was air fried or baked, then had an artificial strawberry flavored syrup on it.
Had a fun dinner out here. The food was similar to many other American Mexican places. Full of flavor and certainly had large portions, except for the queso appetizer, which I thought was a little small. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was fun and full of color.
Wow! This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to in this country. The service was great. The food was fantastic! The white cheese sauce on the burrito was great, and the prices are reasonable. You won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be going back. Oh, and the little birthday dessert was fantastic.
Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. Service and food were wonderful. Ordered and served in under ten minutes. A great place for a quick bite. You'll love the festive decor and friendly staff. The outdoor seating is limited and on the sidewalk with a view of the busy parking lot. The bar area is small but there is ample seating in the restaurant area. Overall, it is a smaller restaurant. Good people, good service and good food. Can't really ask for more than that.
The Luchinos Premium Tacos are amazing! I'd never think to add bacon to a taco but these are fantastic with the steak, bacon, melted cheese and pico. Just writing this makes me wanna get more!
3.5 stars for 3 Margaritas. It is fun, it is designed to look fun, taste fun, be fun to talk in and give you that 80's style Mexican that leaves you with a smile on your face for kid and adult alike. The decor is almost Guadalajara by way of Tiki like and is ok, the acoustics are solid for groups and private moments. The food is middle of the road but priced well with generous portions; watch the chicken it can be bland to the point of tasteless some days. The chips are solid and the margaritas are vast and fun but far from gourmet.
It is fun, never aims for more but delivers on what it is. If anything could be better it is the service. The restaurant can be almost empty and you will rarely see people after the food is delivered unless you get up. There is an air of family employees and reluctance to the service.
All in all a fun throwback choice with occasional great live jazz performances which is odd but good.
Food was good. Service was quick, and left us alone after food came out. Would have like a little more attention to refills, especially since we came during the in-between of lunch and dinner. Over was a good experience, will probably be back.
