I'm all for a good BBQ brisket & unfortunately this just wasn't it fam. Although the brisket was smooth and tender, it was just a bit TOO salty, like 11/10. You could tell the brisket had been resting for quite a bit because it wasn't warm either.
The Mac & cheese that I ordered as a part of this platter was also room temperature and "tart" -- not too sure if this is how it is regularly served but I'll pass next time.
We had been eating small bites all day so thankfully we weren't famished when we ordered and I do appreciate the honesty of our server when she stated that this "1/3 lb beef brisket platter" would only be good enough for 1 person. I'm SO glad we didn't order another plate. I would hate wasting so much food.
The location itself is spacious and there is ample parking for days when it may be crowded. We were the only diners there during our short time so it's hard to say when they may actually be busy.
2Taste may be great for those with an underdeveloped BBQ taste, but it's a pass for me.
I got to enjoy their chicken right out of the smoker. The owner recommended that with their lemon rice. It slappped! So did that brisket I added on.
I couldn't be happier with the food (or the service, actually.) That chicken was some of the best I've ever had..
The brisket didn't require a knife.. nor did the demeanor of the staff.
I'd spend my time and money here again happily! ????????????
We had a terrible experience at this place ‼️
Food came out more than an hour after we ordered and was cold and overcooked. Brisket was rubbery as if it was old. Mac and cheese felt like it was boxed and heated in the microwave.
On top of that, there was no one in the restaurant besides our table and she charged us 18% gratuity. For what?
Great food! Brisket was on point!! Nice to see a halal bbq restaurant hold its own amongst the crowd of big Texas restaurants. Definitely a hidden gem!
I ordered the food through the App ToGoodToGo. The name of the restaurant is “2Taste BBQ & KEBAB”, however I received 2 boxes of chicken curry with rice ???????? And they’re not tasty at all. I was expected at least in the Surprise Bag would be something related to BBQ & KEBAB but none of them are in my order. It costed me $15 & 20 minutes from Garland to Plano to try & I’m disappointed when opening those 2 boxes at home. It’s the first time I’ve tried the App ToGoodToGo. I was so excited waiting for my first order so I could tell my family & friends about the App. But now it makes me reconsidering NOT to use the App anymore . My first experience was bad.
Food at this place was amazing!! One of the best briskets I’ve ever had! Tasted just like it’s from a bbq place!! Honey bbq wings were great! And buffalo chicken sandwich was also really good!! Fries weren’t that good! Definitely a wait but worth the wait!!!
I stopped by this restaurant while visiting the Dallas area and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. The brisket, ribs, chicken, hot links, and sides are all delicious. I appreciate that everything is made from scratch and to order.
Having come in the first time by myself, I decided to treat some family and relatives to some BBQ the following day. Everyone in our party loved the food and found the customer service to be beyond excellent. If I find myself traveling through the area, I will certainly be stopping in again!
One line summary - not at all a Value for Money!!
For owners - the problem is not being expensive but not delivering to what’s being charged!!
The good - staff was courteous!
Food had okay (at best) taste!
The bad -
1. There is 18% forced gratuity regardless of number of guests is outrageous, basically treat every menu item as 18% higher in costs.
2. Much more expensive item like beef brisket turned out to be 1.3lbs in the final bill even though I ordered just 1 lb. I wasn’t told this at the time of serving and the logic given later was that the staff measure it after being cooked and puts whatever weight it comes to be - well then take some out and give me what I ordered or at least be very upfront about it!!
3. Another bad tactic is they leave almost every chunk of fat on the beef obviously adding to their final weight count, I will say almost 25% was pure fat unlike other places where a lot of it is trimmed to offer some form of healthy lean meat.
So this gives another huge bump in your wallet for chunks of fat (unless you are a fan of that sort of thing ;) )
4. The chicken was extremely bland and hard as a rock. Total waste of money.
TBH it’s extremely unlikely that I will like to go back there again. I think this place is surviving on just first time customers as I cannot comprehend at all, why would anyone go back there again.
