Best WLM Reviews

Wonderful outdoor venue for a country music concert. We saw the Bellamy Brothers and sat right in front of the stage with table service. Food options are limited but excellent like the ribs or the chopped brisket sandwich. We had a great time and would go again if we are in the area
I checked this place out for the first time the other day for an early lunch. The first thing I noticed is how this place has a very authentic feel when you go inside of it. It has somewhat of a Cracker Barrel feel when you go inside (small similarities). Its like a house with a gift shop at the front as soon as you walk in the door. The hostess has a stand right there in the entrance/gift shop area to give you a friendly welcome. All the staff was friendly and the place was actually pretty crowded. Even though, the speed of service was still pretty fast. I have never been here for a concert or been outside but they have a lot of space outside in the back as well (could be good for young kids that want to run around and get there energy out. It was raining while we were there so we stayed inside. All of us really enjoyed our food as well. The prices are a little bit higher than your typical franchise restaurants like Cracker Barrel etc.. But that is expected and it is far more authentic. This place would also be a great option for anyone looking to take maybe visiting family out to eat to get that local feel and experience.
The food here is amazing. I'm a big fan of the burgers. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable compared to similar establishments. The atmosphere is nice, not overdone, pretty straightforward, and fits the vibe of the menu. Service is typically good, although our last visit was not up to the usual standard. Overall, this is a really great spot.
This is my new favorite BBQ place. Brisket and pulled pork are really good. The apple pie dessert WOW! In general the place is beautiful, with lots of open space and outdoor area.
If you have visitor from other cities and countries, bring them here, I believe this place exemplifies what a Texan place is!
Great little venue. Went to a concert last night and even though there were less than 50 people there, they still delivered in a big way. Staff was polite and friendly. Drinks had plenty of kick. Service was quick.
Had to knock a star off for the Prime Rib though. I'm not sure what happened but it was not great... at all. Ordered medium rare and I don't even know really how to describe it. Sort of tender but not a trace of pink color at all and no juice what so ever. Almost seems like it had been cooked before and was reheated. Also wasn't served with horseradish, the finest condiment to ever grace Prime Rib.
My wife had the ribs though and they were pretty good. A few of the smaller ones were a little on the tough side but the fatty ones were tender enough. Again, I suspect they were possibly prepared much earlier and simply reheated?
Will definitely come back for a show and drinks but would probably eat somewhere else beforehand.
Went for a concert. Had a wonderful experience. Good seating, sound quality and service. We were worried about the evening outside being too hot in June but it was very pleasant. Highly recommended!
6/24/2023: This is the kinda place you wish you could give more than 5 stars! Outstanding Texas friendly venue! It’s on a large piece of historic property surrounded by beautiful trees; one is 5 centuries old! We met the owner. He gave us the background (you can read about it on their website). We went for an Elvis tribute concert (Kraig Parker) and though we’ve had temperatures in the 100s, it wasn’t too bad. They have large fans and the seating area is completely shaded due to the positioning. It is not covered, but it is shaded. So, if it’s raining, it would not be an ideal place to be. We ate dinner first inside the restaurant. It smelled amazing upon entering. That Texas barbecue smell! There’s a cute little gift shop inside with fun merchandise. We were seated within 2 minutes. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine each, then we had the brisket grilled cheese, pulled pork sandwich, fried okra and jalapeño creamed corn. Everything was fantastic! Our waitress, Chloe, took excellent care of us. We split the items so we could try as much as possible. $75 (after tip) for our meal. I was expecting our dinner to be a lot more expensive. The outside concert area is dog friendly, there’s a dance floor off the seating area, they have a large outdoor bar and there are air conditioned restrooms outside. The owner introduced the artist after thanking our military and first responders. Then he led us in prayer. I was so touched by this experience. I loved that we prayed and everyone stood plus removed their hats. Very Country and made me proud to be a Texan of the great United States of America! The drink prices are great. 5 wines between the 2 of us and our total was only $48 (after tip), The concert prices are great too - $35 per ticket. Parking is very convenient and directly by the seating area. You don’t have to worry about anything happening with it so close. Plus, you’re in the country surrounded by good people. I felt very safe the entire night. We had such a good time and I’m going to be checking their calendar for fall events. Whether you want dinner, a show or just drinks, this place will not disappoint!
Visited to see a favorite entertainer from the early 90's. Arrived early enough to enjoy a meal prior to the show with stage front seating. The venue is an outdoor stage with an out side deck. Even though the temps have been "feels like 103", the outdoor seating area was pleasantly cool, with lot's of huge fans situated to provide a cool breeze to the crowd. And speaking of a crowd, the venue is intimate, we were sitting maybe 15 feet from touching distance from a star we adore and could actually have a conversation with in a normal tone. I haven't explored the rest of the venue but they do have a restaurant with indoor dining, an outdoor bar, and restrooms for the concert were situated outside as a separate building, they were clean, spacious and well air conditioned. I will be returning next month and will explore and provide an update. I highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem!!!
