Best WLM Reviews
My girlfriend, her sister and I visited for breakfast in the restaurant. We were disappointed they didn't have a buffet, but no worries. We decided to give it a shot. It wasn't packed, but it was midly full. We waited about an hour for our food. We've never waited that long ever while being seated anywhere for breakfast. All of our eggs were cold. The meat on my girls plate was cold. It would've been amazing if the food kept it's temperature. It just wasn't there. Taylor was our server. She gets 5 stars! She was funny, polite and attentive. Side note: My girlfriend accidentally left her wallet and phone in the bathroom. Although, not the restaurants fault. I called to ask them to recover them from the bathroom which was literally 30ft away. They never even bothered to look. By the time we got back to the restaurant. I hung up the phone. My girl was in and out in 30 seconds. Kind of a lack of hospitality.
We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately we were let down. I travel to many different restaurants. Normally they get a 4 or 5 star. This is only the second time I've ever had to leave a bad review. I know this place should've been better than this, but it wasn't today.
The restaurant/lounge had AMAZING food that was also very affordable. The bartenders Shannon and Chelsea, were extremely friendly and actually know how to make delicious cocktails!! The bathroom of our hotel room was a little cramped. However, the comfortable beds made me think less about the size of the bathroom. I will definitely stay here again!
Stopped in for an early dinner the other evening for the first time (we live nearby).
Restaurant interior looked very modern, new, and clean.
Food was really good! Wife had a burger and I had the chicken strip basket and we were both impressed with taste/flavor of the food. We'll definitely be back!
Shout out to our waitress who appeared to be the only one waiting tables that early in the evening. It started to get busier while we were there and she was a hard worker! ????????
Stopped here for lunch on our way to St. Paul. What a great restaurant! Super clean and great service. My husband and I both had soup - beef barley (the best I've ever had) and chicken dumpling. They have a large menu and have breakfast all day. Also, there is a senior menu, which we ordered from - large portions for $9.99. Definitely A+ all around!
I'm a little sad to see this place only have 4.0 stars. The food is great, prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the interior is very welcoming. If you're driving through Wisconsin and need a bite to eat, try this spot.
We ate an early lunch, around 11am. The food took quite some time. However, once it arrived, it was obvious why. The simple cheese burger was HUGE (1/2 lb) and had all the fixings of a gourmet burger. Absolutely the best cheese burger EVER! Fries were also fantastic! Wow! Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was classy! Thank you for such a nice surprise in a family restaurant!
Cheap food, locally owned co op. And the rooms are clean and affordable
I was honestly expecting something like Denny's but I was blown away by this place. The atmosphere and decor is so classy and lovely. Our server Rose was very wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried the cheese curd appetizer and they were perfectly fried and seasoned. We also got a patty melt and and cheeseburger, also both amazing and in such large portions I took the other half to work for lunch. The cheeseburger was so fresh and delicious it was like biting into a steak! They also have soup on the bar and I think their chicken dumpling soup is the best thing I've eaten since coming to Wisconsin. We will definitely be going back again and working our way through the menu!
