Best WLM Reviews
Edited again July 1. Its been a while since I wrote this review. Went back to visit 24 on a saturday. Same machines still broken. Hot, crowded, trash everywhere. Its like a public bus now.
edited;: just went and signed up at LA fitness. added a few of their pics to show how nice in comparison to 24. see the last 3 photos. The second I walked into LA fitness I realized how truly bad 24 is. They should just get rid of all of their machines and start over frankly. Cold AC, clean machines, clean bathrooms.... bye bye 24!
I’ve been a member of 24 hour since 1992 and have thousands of workouts under my belt. I’ve been with this location since it was first opened
Sadly, this gym has gone completely downhill. Their prices keep dropping and they’re not making as much money as it appears. The gym is always needing a huge Band-Aid.
Broken machines everywhere, torn padding on many machines as well . Some haven’t been fixed in over a year. Cushions need to be replaced. I’ve cut myself on several machines from exposed, un protected machine parts. The gym is crowded and whats even worse is because a lot of the machines don’t work everybody’s climbing on the few machines that do work. If only there was another gym closer to my house I would’ve been gone a long time ago from 24.
Beware if you are trying to find a gym near you that this one needs a complete overhaul.
The staff is great. However, they seem to be just as frustrated as the people that work out here at the condition of the gym, and the fact that upper management at corporate will not fix the problem. Despite repeated attempts to get these things repaired, rumour is they are out of money and simply cannot afford it.
I should give it one star, however the staff at this gym are wonderful people and have their hands tied from the money crunchers at corporate.
I signed up for a 3 day pass as I recently moved to the area and have been gym shopping. On 11/7/2024 I used the 3 day pass with no problem. The person looked at my email and my ID and let me in. I went today on 11/9/24 (still within the 3 day period). It’s a different guy at the desk and I show him my ID and 3 day pass email. He says that they aren’t doing passes until 11 when the sales team gets there and that I need to have a local ID for the pass to be valid. He also stated that since I was a member in the past (In 2018 and in a different state) that I was not eligible for the pass. Per your policy stated online “3-day pass is valid beginning on your first day of usage at a club. Pass good at multiple locations. User must not have been a guest or member of 24 Hour Fitness within the last 6 months. Photo ID required. Local residents only. No other discounts can be used with this offer.” So after reading this I do qualify for the 3 day pass I just didn’t know I needed to show my apartment lease contract to prove residency. My apologies.
My family has been a member of this gym since it opened many years ago. I am saddened at what once used to be a luxury gym is now unmaintained and dirty. Today I couldn’t get myself to use the filthy restroom. The staff is super sweet and state they are hiring people to clean and fix machines so I’m happy to go back and edit this post once things are better. However it’s been downhill for a while and I fear it may not get better soon. ????
The manager of this location needs to be fired because nothing ever improves. The gym is disgusting. There is hair, sweat, urine and trash everywhere. Tons of equipment is broken and has been for months. I won’t even venture into the restroom. On top of that, the AC barely works. Apparently it’s controlled by corporate, so they just turn it off after the weather drops below 100. Other locations don’t have these issues.
Love this gym, the staff, the variety of the equipment and the overall atmosphere. I’ve also been training with one of their fitness instructors Ashley for almost this entire year. She has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire time I’ve been training with her. She’s helped me understand what workouts to do, what body parts each workout affects, proper nutrition, and gym etiquette. Combining that with her energetic and motivating personality makes working out with her amazing! I’d definitely recommend hiring her to anyone who’s new to the gym or trying to take the next step in their fitness journey.
I've been going to this gym for years and if anything the quality as gone down (a low bar). They do not care about improving the quality of the facilities, despite whatever the manager is saying. Here are the main things that make this gym awful:
-Machines have been broken FOR YEARS, especially: the elliptical machines and the stair climbers that have exposed circuitry and broken buttons.
-The men's bathroom has had only one available stall, again, FOR YEARS. It constantly smells like urine.
-Most of the front door staff are unfriendly. The friendly members of the staff end up leaving.
-Sauna & steam room are frequently broken. They like to clean them at Wednesday's at 8A.M., rather than at night when fewer people are there.
-Despite advertising a spin class and dedicating a huge room to spin machines, they canceled spin class during COVID and never opened the classes back up.
-Many of the seats on the gym equipment are torn
-The water fountains haven't been cleaned and are frequently broken
-They got rid of towel service (which used to be free) and now it's available....as an up-charge!
-The parking lot is filled with broken glass.
Don't go to this gym. They will not fix these issues. I'm sure the manager will respond to this review with some generic copy paste B.S. , but don't kid yourself, these issues have existed for years and I'm sure they will exist for many more years to come.
I've been a member for over a year now and after being charged your annual fee, I'm curious as to where the money goes. This particular location is has so much potential to be a great athletic facility but it needs a lot of attention and improvements.
To be frank, the place is just dirty. Standing water in the locker room and sauna/steamed rooms. I also discovered mold in the steam room. The bathroom smell like the septic system is coming through the drain pipes. It's a breeding ground for bacteria and infection for anyone brave enough to shower there. The cycle room walls look like they have never been cleaned as well. I can only imagine what the studio floor looks like after a good mop...
For the amount of members subscribed and money being spent in your facility I hope you find a way to rectify these issues.
This place is dirty. Very dirty. Hair everywhere. Men's restroom consistently smells like urine. Broken toilets, televisions, water fountains that don't operate at full strength. Sauna smells like body odor. I got sick here, so did my wife. Many pieces of broken equipment. It's like they just don't care. Been a member for two months now. I go here because it's close. I called and complained to someone two weeks ago. Nothing changed, or at least nothing that I can tell. They need a eaning staff to clean this place, top to bottom, every night. They need to fix the toilets, fix the televisions, clean bathrooms hourly, you know, the basics. Come on, man!
