Been paying $80 per month for my husband and I to come here, we've been members for over half a decade. The gym space itself is acceptable with older but good equipment. The classes are good too. My issue is the cleanliness of the showers, locker rooms, and pool area. It's been slowly going downhill for years but my latest visit just solidified I need to cancel our subscription. There were bodily fluids, clumps of hair, trash, food, and a used tampon on the floor in the shower room. This isn't "in-between cleanings" kinda dirt. This is "hasn't been cleaned in days" kinda filth. I asked the front desk gal when the space will be cleaned and she replied "our cleaning lady comes in at night." These kinds of places need to be cleaned THREE TIMES A DAY. I suspect the health department will have something to say about this place. It was worse than a motel or rest stop bathroom - the worst I've ever seen. Terrible job. Do better.
I’ve been coming to this 24 Hour Fitness for the last 4 months. Compared to the Beaverton location, the Vancouver one falls short in many ways.
First, while I usually receive a greeting from the staff, there is one employee who consistently appears unapproachable and disengaged, giving the impression that she doesn’t want to be there. It’s disappointing, as a friendly and welcoming attitude should be standard in customer service. When I worked at LA Fitness, greeting members was a priority and a simple, yet effective, way to create a positive experience. It’s not a difficult task, but it makes a big difference.
The gym itself isn’t too crowded, but it’s pretty dirty. The paper towels are almost always empty, which is concerning. If we can’t even clean the equipment ourselves, is it being cleaned at all? The bathroom also always seems to have something wrong with it.
Overall, I’m disappointed. If I had caught my renewal in time, I wouldn’t have renewed my membership and would have taken my money elsewhere.
Great front-office staffing! I came in recently with some billing/membership questions. Ian(don't remember his last name) was super responsive, and helpful. He knows his way around the applications and the business. He called back when he said he would. This sort of expertise and responsiveness is refreshing! Thank you Ian!
The equipment is fine but old and there is always something that’s out of service which typically isn’t a huge issue as there’s usually many pieces of the same but what I cannot understand is how /dirty/ the locker rooms are. The grime is so thick that I had to take a shower at home after my shower there. Hair everywhere and the even the soap dispensers are filthy. It has not been cleaned properly in months at least and the worst part is this is something that many people have said in these Google reviews for several months and the owners have responded but NO CHANGE. Take your money elsewhere, you’ll find something much nicer for a very similar price.
I've been going here for years and the locker room. sauna, and pool area are consistently disgusting. The men's locker room and shower area specifically is riddled with garbage, plastic water bottles, loose hair, and muck. It is clear those areas are not cleaned often enough or even remotely thorough enough. Not to mention several of the showers are missing handles, and the dispensers are not equipped with soap. I brought this to the attention of the gentlemen working the front desk, and he said there was no cleaning person there that day, I specifically requested to have this information brough to the attention of the manager and I do not believe that it was. The fact that there are multiple reviews like this from weeks ago and action still has not been taken by management is truly disgusting and shameful. I am seriously considering cancelling my membership and switching gyms because of this.
Unfortunately, my experience at this gym was disappointing. While the equipment and workout area are of good quality, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired.
The sauna has a terrible smell of urine, which drives many people away from coming back. The floors are dirty, and the condition of the restrooms is awful—it’s impossible to use them. The locker rooms are also unhygienic, giving off a sense of neglect and poor sanitation.
It’s a shame that such good equipment and the gym’s potential are overshadowed by the lack of proper maintenance and cleaning. If management addresses these issues, the gym could become a much more appealing place to work out.
Truthfully, my partner and I have regretted signing up for this gym. The equipment is old. The sauna constantly breaks down. The pool is never opened and probably never will be. The gym doesn’t even open until weekends. This location is run down and old. Which is fine, no gym is perfect, but the PRICING is SO high for what you get here. Any other gym has better equipment and is a much better value when you consider the price to what you get as a member at this gym.
The locker rooms are just destroyed. There is a thick layer of sludge all over the floors, and it smells like old urine 24/7. This is not just a "we are in-between locker room cleanings" this is months worth of foot traffic, water, ECT...
The actual gym floor is okay, a few of the machines are down, and there's damaged walls and flaking dry wall all over....granted the clientele that uses this location is not exactly respectful to the space. I would suggest you bring your own towels to lay/sit on, the floors don't look like they have been vacuumed/mopped in months and I don't ever see anyone wipe anything down.
For the price you pay monthly? It's not worth it....but it's the only gym in the city open 24/7 that I know of.
