Save yourself a headache and do not get suckered into an auto renewal. Hey parents of HS kids! Beware!! They bait and switch offers for free teen accounts, gain your cc info, and charge you nearly $400 for auto renewals. The manager wouldn’t even return my phone call or emails after repeated attempts to contact them in order to help find a solution to unauthorized use of my card. I guess she needs to meet a quota and every membership, however finagled, counts for her. Shameful.
Please remember, NOTHING is truly for free.
And btw, hiring a person or company to produce auto generated responses to each bad review (which is the majority in this case) doesn’t show any real care to do better.
If you really did care, you would have already had corporate investigate all these complaints about who’s managing this gym. Let’s see how long the benefit of a good location can carry the weight of terrible quality of service for your company. ????????
It’s nasty.. been here for years and to be honest it keeps diminishing ! It’s dirty and the lockers most of them are broken and “out of service “ for years lol.. as seen on photos. Not to mention it’s so hot the whole gym feeling like a sauna . I even try to bring it up at the front desk but the customer service is horrible! The spray disinfecting bottles are always empty or broken and most of the paper dispensers are always out! Btw all these pictures are taken in one day . Not accumulated !

Really ,you aren’t trying that hard to keep ‘us happy’ since im back here 4 weeks later and all the glass as shown in previous pictures are still exactly the same and carpet stain with red nasty, whatever that is, is still all there as is the equipment in poor shape or not working . The lockers are still “out of service, half not working half are just locked and they don’t bother unlocking … just doesn’t seem like anyone even attempted to address any of these issues , but yeah, ok????????
I'd give this place 0 stars if google let me. Terrible front desk. Especially that one Hispanic guy (was not able to get his name). Insanely annoying, a major inconvenience, and tries too hard to assert his authority. He always gives me problems whenever I try to enter. Takes me like 15 minutes every time to get past him after being told the rules of the gym. Searches through my account to see if I am who l say I am, then proceeds to question me on my identity. I have been a member for TWO YEARS! Also, apparently I can't have two buddy passes anymore and reduced it to only one?? They're charging me the same amount that I paid owning two and i never received an email stating they were changing the plan. Additionally, the whole gym is dirty. The only reason I go to that location is to play basketball, and not even the courts are taken care of properly. Broken nets, dusty courts, and shaky old rims. Also they started closing the courts early to clean? They gotta fire those janitors, if they have any, because they're doing a horrendous job. The owner in the replies states that they'll try their best to improve the gym but I still haven't seen anything get better. Clearly the other reviews below have commented on the lack of cleanliness and still - no improvement.
Management should focus on cleanliness, especially when COVID is on the rise again. The quality has been steadily decreasing for years. The last three days have been particularly frustrating. They ran out of stock on paper towels and couldn’t purchase a temporary solution so that we can clean the equipment ourselves. Very unsanitary! Today, they placed a roll of toilet paper in its place. What are we supposed to do with that?
signed up for 24 hour fitness at Ramsey at Thanksgiving time. I've used the Ramsey gym as well as the Paramus gym. I'm very disappointed in the equipment as you can see in the pictures that I've added. The equipment is not being kept up. This also includes the bikes in cycle class.
For the past few weeks I've gone to Paramus for cycle class and each time it was canceled. I signed up and reserved the space in the app and so they know who's taking the class and they know it's canceled. Why couldn't they reach out to us before we made our way all way to the gym , I live closer to the Ramsey gym and I would've gone there if all I was gonna do is get on elliptical. It's a waste of my time through weeks in a row.
The women's locker room and restroom have been consistently untidy every time I've gone to Paramus it's very disappointing. I'm scared to use the toilet because they're just not looking clean and kept up.

Don't pay money to go to this gym ! You will be paying too much for them to never fix the machines and put you in serious danger. This gym does not care about safety and I feel like I got robbed for my money because none of it went towards maintenance for the gym. The locker room is disgusting!! The weights r never put back to where they belong. The gym is a mess and the workers there are very rude and non existence.
Showers are not functional. I observed most of the time sauna, stem and jacuzzi bath any one out of the three facilities are not functional all the time. I tried to call 10 times on 5th October between 11.30 am to 12.30 Pm check if all were usable and hung up on members. When i reached and complained to the front desk. She ignored it as picking up phone is not her job profile. Really sauna was not working today either. Lockers are broken and tiles are coming in many upper-floor restrooms. Sanitation and Health dept should inspect these any they can see mold spots on the roof of the showers.
Please DO NOT go to this gym. The front desk is horrible. They can't solve any problems that you tell them about in the gym. This gym is in such bad shape & I found out it's a corporate owned gym. Shame on Corporate for not reviewing this gym's cleanliness, machines are always broken, the women's locker area is filthy (I was scared of catching something), their front doors are always having problems & it's like a suana. And when you tell them they DON'T CARE. Look at all the bad reviews, they are basically the same complaints & no one is bothering to fix it. The District Manager was there last week for 2 days & obviously he had to see all these problems but he is doing nothing to fix them. O yes, forget about calling them, no one picks up the phone or they hang up on you. And if they do pick up they have no clue how to help the caller. There are a lot of gyms in the area go try them. Watch the response I will get, it will be the same as all the other negative reviews response "from owner." This person should work at Paramus' front desk, obviously he/she does not know how to think for themselves. By the way I cancelled my membership I'm going else were.
