The location itself is in an odd area and yeah a little sketch but then again it’s been here forever. I mean, it is a 24/7 location – Don’t catch me here after 10pm when its dark! Found parking right away. Arrived on a Monday around 2-3pm DO NOT come around that time. It was soooo busy. I almost turned around and walked right out but it was leg day and I needed a good gym session. They only have 2 Leg press machines in the entire gym, crazy…. The only reason why they have somewhat high stars was most gym goers here did clean up after themselves, the customer service was superb and they have a Nutrishop located in the gym!!!
I have been a loyal member of 24 Hour Fitness for almost 18 years, having had great experiences at other locations, but unfortunately, the Burbank location has been a huge disappointment. The gym is consistently overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to follow a gym regime. Machines are frequently out of order for days or even weeks, many of them are run down with loose parts or missing weight pins, further adding to the frustration.
To make matters worse, after a significant increase in my annual rate, I reached out via email requesting a phone call to discuss my concerns, but I have not received any response after 3 months. The lack of communication and customer service is beyond frustrating, especially when trying to overcome internal obstacles to make it to the gym.
Overall, my experience at this gym has been extremely disappointing. The poor maintenance of equipment, overcrowding, and lack of responsiveness from the management have significantly diminished the quality of my gym visits. As a long-time member, I had expected better from this establishment, and I am deeply disappointed by the current state of affairs at the Burbank location. I would not recommend this gym to others based on my experiences.
I like this location. Not as much equipment as Noho. There are plenty of weights in the main exercise room. Sauna is cleaner than it had been last fall. The main cleaning lady is very kind & thorough. Love that this location is 24 hours. Safer in the area for women than Noho if you are a night owl & you prefer to exercise at night. They are getting better at hiring more compassionate & pleasant staff members upfront.
Just over heard the night shift desk attendant/rep talking outside about how he doesn’t go to the office panorama location “ I’m not racist but the Hispanics over there” insinuating and basically trying to defend the fact that he was just about to make a bunch of racist comments, blew me away I didn’t think I was going to get hit with him being comfortable enough to say that to a member right outside the front doors of the gym and on the clock. He was male short lighter brown skin short black hair with greying/white hairs, wearing a white N95 mask I really hope I don’t hear this again that was awkward
Chelsea was such a help this morning reinstating my membership. And Susan was right there by her side. Great experience at this facility that I've been coming to for a couple of years now. Thank you Chelsea for everything you did ????
Very convenient lots of parking very clean and great staff. Personal trainers are the best. Not crowded air conditioning works perfect, great workout space.
I'm a big fan of 24hr fitness. I've been a member since 2005. I visit many of the facilities, sure there are things you can complain about. But overall, the experience I've gotten has been always positive. This place (Burbank) is bigger that the ones near my home. I prefer to come to this one because of the pool, jacuzzi, dry/wet sauna. It's rare I see broken equipment, as it shows that take care of it in time. Never had issues with staff, always friendly and helpful. I would avoid peak hours, as it does tend to get super busy. The wait times for equipment can vary on peak tines. They have a parking lot in the back of building and also street.
It's also close to major stores like Targer, Walmart, Lowes, etc....after a workout those stores come in handy for distance.
I highly recommend this place! Let's keep them in business so we have the option of going to 24hrs for a very long time. I was a Ballys member before and they are no longer in business.
I used to love this place but unfortunately it has gone down the toilet....this gym has to be the dirtiest gym I've ever been to in my life, trash everywhere, homeless sleeping on benches, lockers are used for storage, machines are broken for months, showers are broken, shower soap dispenser stolen, shower curtain barely hanging by 2 hooks, mold in the shower area, should I go on?......350$ for this? Planet fitness is 10$ a month and it's a way better choice....I don't think I'm going to extend my membership here
Really love the sauna and steam room area but the positive review stops there. This gym always has broken down equipment and then folks try to super set with the limited equipment! Really? ????. Management needs to do something. Half the treadmills and stair masters are broken down or run terribly! I hope management sees this review and makes change to this gym because I feel I am not getting my moneys worth with a membership here.
