Best WLM Reviews
This is a great location to enjoy the views of the harbor. It’s an old and unique building with tons of guest parking. Unfortunately, eating brunch there was disappointing. We started with the calamari which was a very small portion. The marinara was very tasty with the calamari though. We tried the Seared Ahi Tuna, a vegetable Benedict and also one of the seafood food bowls. The ahi tuna came over a pretty large salad that appeared to be dressed but tasteless. And the seasoning on the tuna was very bland as well. The brunch is served with potatoes and has way too many onions in it. The tomatoes were the best part of this meal. The seafood bowl was probably the best meal ordered. It had good flavor and plenty of seafood. We received great service. However, this was not the seafood experience we were looking for and costs us over $100 for a 3 person lunch.
So here is my review about this place.
1- Decoration 6.5/10 The decoration is ok, but some areas need restoration.
2- The atmosphere was 6/10 when I came in it was very quiet, not a lot of people for an award winning place. No laugh or happiness. Maybe I was on the wrong day?
3- service 5/10 The host was so bad that she did like working there . If you don't like working there, it's OK. Just find a job, not in the customer service. It took 20 minutes before the waiter came to see me, he didn't know that kind of drinks they had? They only thing good is that he didn't charge me for the soupe.
4- The food 8/10 the soupe was very good but the main course that was their salmon with hashbrown was not good, the mashed potatoes was cold and some places warm? They veggies wear a bit cold also. Look at pictures
5- cleanest 7/10 it was mostly clean, but my booth had crumbled on the seats and the restroom smelled bad, with no paper in the restrooms.
I recommend but on the good day.
Great lunch spot in San Pedro!
The scallops are on point!
Uncle Mike raved about the mahi mahi sandwich.
Mum had a BYO pasta, she swooned.
Unc Biz said the scallops are A1.
C enjoyed the lobster bisque ????
I had the big salad with scallops. House made 1000 island dressing very well puts this place on the map, just don’t confuse with the lobster bisque, they look similar haha! Could be a prank on a friend ???? ????
I don’t recommend the clam chowder, too starchy.
All in all service is on point, and olive us had a great time. ❤️
Still reviewing San Pedro. Three to four stars. We came here because we passed the restaurant a few times while staying at Doubletree hotel nearby. We didn't feel like going far that evening, so we tried it. The restaurant looks old-style from the outside. We arrived early for dinner and parked in front of the entrance. The restaurant is on the second or top floor. There’s a big stairs and an elevator to go up to the top floor. We didn’t have to wait long. We were seated by the booth. Nice! Our waiter explained the menu and the guests' favorites. Whatever that is, the bread was delicious! Soft and warm!
We had steamed clams. Try the bread with the clam sauce. Tasty! Hubby had seafood stuffed sole, and I had blackened snapper. My dish was served with rice and spinach. The spinach was delicate, but the rice was too oily. The snapper was not bad but nothing special. Hubby's dish was OK. The bed was the best part of the meal besides the clams. Not bad, great service.
Ate at this restaurant today, sat on their patio as it was a beautiful day in San Pedro. Restaurant is a 15 minute walk along the Marina walkway from the Doubletree hotel. Fried mozzarella is amazing, delicious coating and the homemade marinara was a perfect match. I had the fish and chips and can honestly say it was one of the best fish and chips I ever had. The coating was light and crispy and the fish inside was flaky. My wife had the shrimp linguine and couldn't stop saying how good it was. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back next time we are in San Pedro.
Came highly recommended from the Double Tree. Nice 15 minute walk around the marina. The ambiance is nice, over looking the marina. The service was great. The food was so-so. I had the flounder ($27) and found it quite rubbery, lacking a nice flaky texture. My wife had the Shrimp Fettuccine, which also was average. We were two weary travelers for the day and hoping for a knock your socks off meal. It was a nice place to sit, talk and enjoy the views.
Food and service was amazing!!! Priced great according to portions. Will definitely be going again and again. Terrific for a date night. The salmon was great with the Cajun seasoned added. The mussel and garlic sauce was seasoned to perfect. Wings were cooked perfectly as well terrific crunch and enough sauce.
Best Dining Experience I’ve had in years!
Seriously… the most delicious, fresh and well prepared seafood meal I have ever had!
I mean that! First fork to the last… the best!
But what really speaks to me is the staff… all the way through! The lovely host was friendly and inviting, the bussers were sincerely there to help us… they made sure we were comfortable, the manager was perfect! There for us and concerned, but the most memorable part of our visit was our truly fantastic server ‘Casey’. Of all the gin joints in the world… this darling person is probably the most inviting, sincere, caring and helpful server I could possibly hope to be our host. Casey is the epitome of sincere guest service and should be recognized for that.
If I owned a restaurant, I would invest in cloning technology to replicate her.
This restaurant is nothing short of truly awesome!
By the way… this is a legit review, not paid, not friends… just seriously a great place!
Much love! ????
