Best WLM Reviews

Extremely dry brisket with other bland options served up in a lackluster establishment… all for the hefty price of $25+!
My friends got the brisket, which is shown in the pictures, and they were extremely disappointed with their food. It was dry and flavorless but plentiful. Neither of them finished their food nor did they take leftovers home. I ordered the catfish which was extremely mediocre. No one in my group was happy with their food or the price. Absolutely choose another option if you want good brisket and a nice vibe. This place had quiet music, no nice lighting, and no obvious care for their decorations or theme.
Oh wow what a great experience, food was cooked to perfection and what a great taste. Customer service was amazing and plenty of seating. Thank you for a great lunch.
Nice counter service BBQ. The ribs were good. We weren't a fan of the BBQ sauce, but that is just personal taste. The Mac n cheese and fries were very good. Also had the Cajun Pasta, which was fantastic and a large portion as well. We both had leftovers. Service was very good as well. We did get the beignets but were not a fan at all. They were hollow and crunchy/chewy. Again, personal taste, but not like the ones we've had before.
The cashier was extremely kind, and I truly wish I could write a better review. However, I feel it’s important to share my experience in hopes that improvements can be made.
We ordered two meat plates, both with brisket, but unfortunately, it was burnt and lacked flavor. The chicken I received was missing most of its skin and the parts that did have meat was bloody. On the positive side, the sausage was delicious.
That said, the mac and cheese was overly greasy and was inedible. To top it off, we were served only three slices of stale bread, which was honestly the final straw for me. 2 meat plates and 3 slices of bread?
For the price, I expected much higher quality, and it was disappointing to end up throwing most of the food away. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration because there’s potential here, and I’d love to return for a better experience in the future.
225° Urban Smoke is a diamond in the rough. I ordered The Big Easy...this sandwich gave me brisket, pulled pork, sausage, cracklins and BBQ sauce. It was amazing! The flavors of the meats can stand on their own, but also complement each other. My ONLY criticism is the bbq sauce...it was light with subtle flavor. I feel it needed more boldness. Then I tried the fries. What a surprise! The fries are seasoned Cajun style...I found the boldness I was looking for. Thank you to the cook and staff for the great lunch.
If you follow me on here then you know I post honest experiences so let’s begin. The cajun pasta was good and very flavorful. The brisket was mediocre just salt and blk pepper it was cook to perfection but also bland and you don’t get any pickles and onions. As a Louisiana native I know dirty rice and red beans and this was not it, complete failure. Now this could be from batch to batch but the dirty rice and RB were extremely salty (03/17/24 whoever cooked that day needs to hold the salt) I could also tell salt was the only season they used as you can taste the difference between salt and seasonings. The dirty rice is in no way authentic. Overall, I’ll be back to try the fish and chicken.
The food is delicious. Service is friendly and fast. Ambiance like mom and pop; they are always the best, right? Everything on my plate was only $16.50. Wow! It's hard to find good BBQ for that price. I wanted to try everything on the menu! I'll be back!! Thank you for satisfying my taste buds!
Alright you all let’s talk about Urban Smoke. This place is so delicious and everyone is super friendly. I enjoy going here. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and quantity. I will say the Brisket is dangerous in the best way possibly. So tender and juicy, falls apart instantly. The flavor without BBQ sauce is delicious but when you add their house sauce it’s a BANGER. Let’s talk about the Mac and Cheese…lip smacking and mouthful of cheese goodness. Not only is it cheese the right way but it’s seasoned baby they put some garlic powder, onion powder, and something else in it to make it flavorful. I will say it’s a bit oily but that’s from all that cheese. So I’m not complaining, the flavor is present. Also let’s talk about the smoked chicken wings. They are smoked in every way and you taste it no matter how you bite it. Dip it in their ranch sauce which isn’t ordinary ranch either. They add something to make it extra special. Go check this place out. It’s delicious. So happy I went here and continue to come here. The staff is friendly as well. Greet you when you come in and check on you.
