Best WLM Reviews

Home for the holidays and this is always a niche experiential hotel to stay in downtown Cincinnati. Easy to get to all of the new bars, restaurants, my favorite luxury lighting/furniture store ‘SWITCH Lighting & Design’, & lots of metered parking + garages. The cutting edge, fresh, exciting, optimistic, informative + creative vibe that this hotel once had feels like it’s slowly tapering away. With a few updates like ground level window treatments, new vibrant artwork, fresh coat of paint on the walls in the hallway to reduce signs of wear (fine details) to elevate the experience would be great. The room was quiet + peaceful. The front desk was very accommodating with my needs. My mattress + pillows were fantastic. I would appreciate a bit more of a modern aesthetic to a museum hotel room. I hope that this place stands the test of time, Cincinnati needs this place - I love my hometown ????
The 21c Museum Hotel in Cincinnati offers a unique and enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean, and the location is convenient for exploring the city. However, the price is on the higher side, especially with the $40 valet parking fee.
One standout feature is the 24/7 museum on the first and second floors, showcasing diverse and intriguing artwork from around the world. It adds a cultural and artistic touch to the hotel experience, making it more than just a place to stay.
Overall, it’s a great option for those looking for a blend of comfort and creativity, though be prepared for premium pricing.
Con, parking.
We had issues with the lights as soon as we came in had to call maintenance. The room was so hot and I kept adjusting the thermostat and it would keep readjusting to a much warmer temperature. The bathroom smelled like sewage. It felt like there was no circulation in the room. Paid a lot to stay there and couldn't get a late checkout. I've had better experiences at holiday inns.
My husband and I are from Cincinnati and were visiting back home this weekend. The hotel is in a great location, easily walkable to both stadiums, the river/banks area, and many restaurants nearby.
The Connector streetcar also stops just one block away, which makes exploring the city really easy and convenient.
The reception is very friendly and accommodating. My luggage cracked on the way to Cincinnati and they graciously accepted an overnight delivery for a new suitcase on my behalf, even delivered it to the room.
My husband loved the complementary bourbon drink tickets to use each evening at the bar. The bartenders downstairs also make an amazing espresso martini.
The beds were extremely comfortable, the towels & robes were fluffy, there is great lighting in the bathroom, and the water pressure in the shower is amazing.
The room is on the smaller side, but the bathroom is spacious.
We also enjoyed walking through the museum and seeing all of the art available for free.
We will absolutely recommend this hotel to any clients or friends visiting Cincinnati and will consider it again for our next trip home.
The hotel was cool! Great spot and a good room with a comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant bartender, Alex, made the stay worthwhile. She was awesome!
The hotel service, however, was like playing roulette. You did not know if you would get a good service person working the desk or a bad service person working each day. We asked to have our sheets changed twice in one day and we were given a half complete set of sheets placed on the table in our room. We had to make the bed ourselves and our dirty sheets were still left on the bed.
We spent a weekend at 21 C for a major family event. I want to send praise for the beautiful, immaculate rooms/suites; the responsiveness of a very friendly housekeeping staff; a Sunday brunch staffed by incredible individuals who went above and beyond to serve and care for us. The food at the brunch was delicious! I am appreciative of the openness that Carrie gave us in creating an individualized menu in addition to providing beverage services in several of our suites throughout the festivities. There were frustrating communication issues over a 10 month period and critical problems with front desk staff, but Ron and Shelly (management) have been working hard to resolve this for us. Overall, because of the positives through this process we are very pleased. We truly hope that others will experience only the type of positives we have listed here, and none of the difficulties.
We were very disappointed with our recent two-night stay. Here are the issues we encountered:
1. **Bathroom Issues:**
- Tub stopper was broken.
- Sink was dirty and unpleasant to use.
- Several corners were dusty.
- Found used contact lens sticky on the wall next to the toilet.
2. **Bedroom Problems:**
- No accessible charging options for phones—very inconvenient.
- The phone was extremely dusty, making it unappealing to use.
3. **Coffee Machine and TV Setup:**
- Both the coffee machine and TV were on the same table, leading to a cluttered and cross-functional space.
- Poor interior design overall; the furniture and art selection lacked any aesthetic appeal.
Overall, we expected much more for our stay, and we hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
We had a lovely time. Everyone was warm and friendly and helpful. The room - bed / shower were very comfortable. It was a special experience the art and art gallery. After a long flight we highly recommend the spa services which were also excellent and accommodating after our flight cancellations and delays. Thank you - we will be back!
