We really loved our dinner at 21 Biryani, an Indian restaurant in Agoura! The food was super tasty and full of authentic flavors, and you can tell they use real fresh ingredients. We ordered the vegetarian paneer which had a nice kick to it and the vegan rice biryani. Our top favorite dish was the butter chicken curry, which was made with soy chicken, and was super addictive. The staff and owner were very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes to us. We also had the bread pudding dessert warmed up with ice cream, which was DELICIOUS! I've had takeout from here several times before, but this was the first time dining in! Even though they have a lot of meat dishes, this is a great dependable spot for vegans and vegetarian foodies like us!
We ordered takeout from 21 Biryani Pots, and overall, it was good experience. The hakka noodles and veg biryani tasted delicious. However, I found the prices to be a bit high compatively. Typically, we pay such amounts when dining in at a fancy restaurant with a nice ambience and service. Also, the restaurant restaurant doesn't offer much space for dine-in customers. Despite these factors, I would recommend its wotrth trying if it's your taste.
Don’t ever order dosas if you come here. They took 25 mins to give the food. We ordered 3 dosas. Two keema dosa and one Lamb dosa. After 25 mins they gave one lamb dosa and the other two dosas were not even out by then.
The food was oily, dry and horrible to taste. The sambar was sweet. The dosa was so oily and soggy that it felt like it was drenched in oil. The meat was dry and smelled like stale food and I threw it.
The female waitress seemed to have an attitude about everything. I haven’t tried their other dishes so I can’t really say anything, but otherwise don’t order dosas. This tops my list of then worst restaurant I have eaten at in a long time.
We’ve been ordering Shrimp Roast Biryani for the last couple of years on a weekly basis and it’s been our favorite. Since the last 2-3 months, the quality and taste of the food has been worse and we are no longer going back there. Most of our friends have the same opinion as well. I wish they bring back the old quality; taste and chef if changed!
Awesome little spot for very delicious food. The portions are very big. The chicken dishes are fantastic, the flavor goes all the way to the middle of the pieces.
The biriyani here tastes like it came out of a kitchen in India. It's phenomenal. If you are looking for authenticity - look no further.
If you like Indian food, this place is an absolute sublime. The food, service and CONSISTENCY is unparalleled. It's a challenge to decide on one from the menu. If pictures speak louder than words, a bite will take you a notch up. Try one of these Goat Pepper, Hakka Noodles and Egg/Chicken Fried Rice. They can't go wrong!!
Literally the most disgusting food I have ever had in my life. We ordered the hot and sour soup, fried rice, chicken tikka masala, naan and chicken 65
If you’re going to make food that tastes literally nothing like it is supposed to - why bother trying? The hot and sour soup tasted like Shaan masala and water. The chicken 65 was soggy. The fried rice just tasted like siracha mixed with rice. I had to spit out the chicken tikka masala and tasted again like Shaan masala and water mixed with chicken. The meat was rubbery and tasted old with an odor
Naan tasted like it was from Trader Joe’s but they didn’t even warm it right and was gross and sticky
The waitresses were useless, rude, and gave Luke warm water after we had to ask. Brought each meal one by one and it literally tasted awful.
