Best WLM Reviews
We had an amazing meal! The menu selection was great, the food came out delicious. I had the salmon, cooked to perfection, he had a steak MR, came out a little rare, but was fixed in no time with fresh sides and new plate. Service by Amanda was awesome and she was so fun! Even the alcohol selection was unique to the environment. We will go back.
Awesome spot. Sat at the bar and the bartender was great - very friendly staff who took care of everyone well during the rush. Cocktails were perfect. The pasta with chicken was incredible. Huge portion! Atmosphere is also great with the piano player and 20s decor. It gives high end steakhouse without the pretense. You get transported when you walk in. Highly recommend!
We visited the Hideout as we were passing through Marion. What an experience!! Angel was our server, and she made our experience just amazing and fun! Food was amazing!! The atmosphere with the piano was such a nice touch! The manager even checked on us and was so nice! This will definitely be our stop when we come through here! If you’ve never been you definitely should!
A+ experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxing and designed not to be overwhelming, but subdued. The gentle live jazz piano adds to the overall feel. The food is top notch. The staff is incredibly polite, professional, and friendly. This establishment is all about the customer. A romantic, relaxing eatery.
Super cool vibe, staff can share stories and details of surrounding memorabilia from a gangster past. Live music was so nice, It was difficult to get orders right. A lot of confusion with basic requests with bar and food. The service was pleasant. Grilled shrimp super dry do not recommend. We are going to try again.
Great ambiance and great service, but terrible food. We came with a large party so we ordered a lot of food. The vegetables were not fresh but defrosted and unseasoned. The chicken was overly salty and lacking any real flavor. The food was also cold as well. The best tasting things were the mashed potatoes and the Mexican connection fajitas. We would not eat there again.
So, from the outside, it's kind of generic. It does have an old car that you can picture a gangster driving. When you walk in though, it's very classy with a few art deco touches, low lighting, and one wall is dominated by a glass wall behind which you can view their wine racks. Overall, the decor is beautifully done, and offered the ambiance we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary.
We had an awesome server named Charles during our visit. He made sure we had filled drinks, that we were comfortable, and simply had a great, friendly personality.
Now the food...everything we saw looked amazing. We got the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer, which was served with warm chips. It was good, would get it again, but I would say a good basic stand-by. My husband got the lobster bisque with his dinner and I got the house salad with ranch. The bisque was a bit lacking, but I think that had more to do with my husband's expectations rather than the actual soup. A bisque by nature is a pureed soup, and he thought there would be a few chunks of lobster. I loved my salad. Nice mixed greens, cheese, croutons, tomato wedges, and sliced purple onion. The ranch was good and tasted to be house made. I got the 12 oz. ribeye and garlic mashed. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, well-rested, and had great flavor, while the garlic mashed was a great complement. The husband enjoyed his full rack of ribs and perfectly cooked baked potato.
For dessert, Charles brought us, a piece of the colossal chocolate cake. So decadent. Moist, and rich. I never order chocolate cake for dessert, thinking it's basic. Not this, it was definitely worth it.
If I lived in the area, this place would be visited often by me.
I showed up no reservation (not saying you should too...)
I seated myself at the bar, and both bartenders were awesome. I'm sure they said their names, but I am terrible at remembering names, but I was there on 12-20-24. The food was excellent and the service couldn't have been better. The atmosphere was perfect.
I was originally disappointed because I couldn't get a hotel room by the Texas Roadhouse and ended up at a hotel next door to this joint, and it was not a disappointment.
