Amazing and friendly wine bar with great cocktails, the best selection of wines in York (and the beer's not bad either). The food is amazing and the club sandwich is not to be missed. Definitely worth a visit!

This is certainly not my last visit!! Myself and two friends, having a special reunion moment, did not regret our choice of venue. The owners are welcoming and they happily indulged my insatiable food curiosity which was piqued by their fascinating selections.
Overall, I left with the impression that this had been a food and wine journey and that I was in the safe hands of fellow food lovers with a whole lot more skill and knowledge than me. I was intrigued by their sourcing (try the only vegan cheese I have ever ordered seconds of and want to own the recipe for and THE most delicious pistachio ice cream ever). I felt that my few hours here was so yummily enjoyable due to the considerable knowledge and craftsmanship of the owners... flavour combining heaven, with a warm ambience.
A huge well done!! I had eaten a food Picasso; a platter of pleasing colour, texture, master flavour combining and pleasing surprises.
I will be back with food loving friends.. because I'm not sure this place would be fully appreciated by friends who are more complacent about what they pop in their mouths (no names and you don't know who you are)
We spent a lovely couple of hours in here this afternoon. The wine and charcuterie/cheese plates were top quality and delicious. Service was great too.

Popped in during the afternoon not expecting fine dining but gave it a go. Delicious food, friendly helpful staff. The tuna and caponata was delicious. Only beaten by the blackberry polenta cake with pistachio ice cream.
My friends and I visited this place for brunch, but we were disappointed to find that we were charged double what we expected. The menu offered boards/platters priced at £9.50 per person. My friend and I ordered one platter each, assuming it would be enough for us to just nibble on. However, we were surprised to receive platters meant for two people each, totaling enough for four people. Despite this, the portion sizes did not reflect the intended servings. For instance, there were four types of meats, each with only two slices, which we only realized when we received the bill. The overall cost for the food ended up being unexpectedly high, which was not clearly communicated to us. Additionally, the server didn't clarify whether the platters were intended for one person or for two, which added to the confusion. We probably won't be returning here as we felt a little taken advantage of.
I took my Mum today. I just wanted to get her out of the house for a little break. We only had coffee and cake. It was really nice, great value and the cinnamon swirl was delicious. The staff were so helpful and really friendly. Mum really enjoyed her visit. She can be critical sometimes...but not today. We will go back when my sister is here. And dog friendly.
A lovely lunch date with the husband. Service was swift, efficient and attentive. Food was delicious and well presented.
