Believe the hype! This place is fantastic! There may be a wait, but it is absolutely worth it. Excellent food and drinks, excellent, service, excellent atmosphere. We had selections from little things, wine bar goodies, salad, pizza, and sweets. Everything is fantastic. Favorites: baked muscles, meatballs, anchovies, bread, zucchini, vongole, Santa Brigida, and lemon sorbet.
I had a delightful trip to Washington, where I embarked on a quest to find authentic Neapolitan pizza.
This place exceeded my expectations, with high-quality ingredients that truly deliver.
The pizza’s are probably one of the best Neapolitan style pizza’s I have ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza in general. They are perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The staff is really nice. The place is busy and a little loud. There is usually a waiting for 10-15 minutes on busy times and weekends but that being said you can always wait by the Bar, have a drink. The food is worth the wait. Apart from pizza’s will definitely recommend the Suppli a Telefono.
We really enjoyed this place. We had the Margherita and pepperoni pizzas. Both were very good. They are a little soft in the middle, but crust was delicious. Service was a little slow at first, but good overall. I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went back and had the meatballs and fried green tomatoes. Both were good. Service was great.
Been going here for over 20 years. I’ve since moved away from DC, but always make a point to come back when I’m in town. Terrific Neapolitan style pizza. Nowadays they don’t except tips any longer… already included in the price.
Best Neapolitan style pizza in the DC area, hands-down. There are some places that come close, but 2 Amys remains the gold standard. They are not the cheapest, however, the quality of the ingredients and the fantastic service are worth the price paid. I especially appreciate the fact that servers are paid a fair wage and service is included in the price of the food. No guessing games when the bill comes.
Love love love this restaurant. It's such a gem. The food and service are both impeccable and it feels like you're eating in Europe.
Highlyyyy recommend the Etna 2.0 eggplant pizza. I didn't even think I'd like it that much from the sound of it but BOY was it the best pizza I've ever put in my mouth. I'm still dreaming about it to this day.
All the appetizers I've tried are mouth wateringly delicious, especially the meatballs.
Also recommend the almond cake!!! Scrumptious. Even their cappuccino is A++.
Skip all the restaurants nearby and come here, you won't regret it.
Bonus: no tip!! Cost of service is included with the food :)
Best Neapolitan pizza in DC, and some of the best Neapolitan pizza in the country (and we just crossed it - 44 states). This place specializes in FRESH ingredients for both their pizzas & appetizers, and it really shows — far more than other restaurants. They rotate pizzas & appetizers regularly for seasonally fresh items. The prosciutto is to die for - especially the higher end one. I think the Santa Brigida with prosciutto is the best pizza, my wife likes the Norcia, and my mom the Etna 2.0. The wines are also very good - the Super Tuscan goes very well with pizza. The almond cake with cherries is an amazing dessert. This is our favorite restaurant in DC.
It’s also very family friendly.
No reservations (which I love), so if you go after 6 be prepared to wait 20-30 mins.
