Stayed here a time or two. Both times under different management. The 1st owner I meet at this place was not a very nice person. So this set the stage for the new owner. She was very nice. Trick drivers made her very angry, but she still remained happy around the guests. This new owner seems very positive about his place. He said he'll be fixing the place up soon. Hopes not to break his budget. You should go help him by staying a night or two. I did. It will help him tidy up the place, and rooms will still be at a decent cost. Rating I have at this point was for the early owners. But this gentleman is the one.
I called to get a price on a room for a week. And then when I got there he wanted to charge me an extra $200 because I live in the same town. He is also of a different nationality and he's racist against white people
Aggressive owner. I was traveling solo (woman) and let my 30 lb dog step off the concrete pad from the Cenex gas station next door to urinate. The owner of the motel rapidly walked across the dirt lot from the motel hollering, “Get that damn dog off my property!” I apologized and pulled my dog back up onto the cement. He hollered the same thing again and I apologized again. His response was, “I bet you are sorry!” And walked off. I would not recommend staying at this motel due to the owner’s aggressive approach to a solo woman traveler. I left rather quickly as I did not feel comfortable.
I had the unfortunate experience in encounter with the owner of this establishment. As I was traveling through Colorado, I stopped at the gas station right next to the location and walked over to a piece of grass right in front of the gas station. This psycho owner came out, appearing as though do you want a physical altercation with me as a woman walking my dog food away from the gas pump. He told me to remove the dog, and I said OK, but he continued to follow me. I would not trust staying at this hotel, especially if you are a woman. This doesn’t seem like a safe person.
Owner just tonight verbally abused me as I was parking my truck (9:45pm) for night to come in for a room; (also.smelled alcohol on his breath) shouting that I was blocking his driveway; he banged on passenger window; even though I was coming into to make a reservation….‘Crazy’
‘Unfortunately stayed—this location previously & room—was cold ‘heat-turned-down-to’ 65; customers can’t regulate temperature….
Outside parking lot potholes; possibly damaging your car or truck before entering. Parking lot not-lit-except-one streetlight…..
Many other locations across street to stay & nicer-safer-hotels. This hotel looks as if it’s about to go out of business. Thank You.
I walked over to this motel from the gas station on a pit stop. I had my dog on a leash with poop bags in my hand. The owner of this business came outside and verbally assaulted me. He told me to get my dog off his property. As I tried to leave he followed me as I walked away. I thought he had a weapon on him. I am a woman alone with a dog. He was scary and threatening. I wouldn’t suggest even approaching this business.
We were reluctant to find a room since everywhere else was fully booked, but we were more than pleased with our experience here. The manager was incredibly kind, humorous, and sweet. With a relatively affordable price, we didn’t hold any high expectations. When we got to the room, it was clean, quaint, and had a nice small stove top with sink. The large fridge/freezer and microwave were a nice plus! They run this Inn very well, and we were glad to find such a wonderful place for the night! :)
I stay here few time's before but this time I check after hours and NEW manager was super nice and welcome us we feel very comfortable. Again, good price so I didn't expect anything other then old building and cheap unclean rooms. After I walking to room I was super happy. Room was clean and hardwood floor and nice small stove top with sink. I definitely recommend stay. NEW manager she doing great job.
