My husband and I have eaten here many times and the food, drinks and service have consistently been great. The cocktails are always fun, dishes are yummy and service is always good. Their signature burgers can't be beat! We usually prefer to sit outside. 1909 is a place that can be counted on to be good, whether it be for brunch, happy hour or dinner.
I was also here awhile back with a large bachelorette group, stopping here for dinner before a cocktails reservation at the speakeasy down the street, Thompson & Twain. Our server for our group that night was incredible, so patient and accommodating with many orders and requests. A+ for sure.
Incredible Service at 1909 Temecula!
Our large group left with full hearts and gratitude after an unforgettable experience at 1909 Temecula. The food was delicious, and the venue was beautiful, but the standout was definitely the customer service. We all felt truly cared for, and that’s thanks to our amazing waiter, Brendan. He is a gem! His attentiveness and warmth made our visit special. Having traveled from Australia, we’ve experienced many places, but Brendan's service left us speechless. A HUGE thank you to him and the entire team for making our time so memorable!
The decor was absolutely beautiful! We were with a party of 8! Had reservations for 6:45 but knew we were going to be late, I called restaurant and they were able to accommodate us at 7:15- Thank you Kylie!! Ambience was great! Restaurant was packed- super busy! Although our friend never got a refill on his drink- food was pretty good! Dessert was bomb! Would definitely come back again!
This was my first time to this restaurant and I plan on returning. First off a Huge bar as you come with mini bars in other parts of the restaurant for quick drink service. Super friendly n helpful bartenders. Our server Angie was sweet, friendly and helpful with what to choose from the menu. They have lots of room inside and a outside dinning area too. The menu has many choices from Rib eyes to burgers. I chose a Bison Burger that was tasty n delicious. It's also leaner meat for those not wanting beef. The burger is also branded with the restaurants name 1909. I plan on returning on my next visit and If I could give them 10⭐️ instead of 5 I would!
I highly do NOT recommend this establishment! The reviews are absolutely misleading! I CALLED to confirm if I could RESERVE A TABLE by phone. They told me no, you can’t make a reservation by phone, only by standing in line outside. I clarified how long the wait was, and they said 5-7 minutes. Fine. I’m with two kids, so I head over. When I arrive, they tell me the wait is 1 hour and 15 minutes. I made a reservation for 5 people and came back after 1 hour and 15 minutes, only to be told, “Oh, your reservation is for 2 people,” and that I would have to wait an additional 1 hour and 50 minutes. I was in complete shock. The hostesses were absolutely unprofessional and had no understanding of customer service or hospitality!
On top of that, there were empty tables in the dining area, but we weren’t even offered the option to sit there. It was as if they just didn’t care about accommodating us.
We returned after 15 minutes, as the manager had instructed, and when we arrived, the hostess spoke into her radio and said, “They came back.” Right after that, a security guard came over to us. I mean, excuse me, but WHAT IS THIS?! What does “They came back” even mean? Should we now expect them to spit in our food or something?
I’m absolutely horrified! I’ve worked as an administrator in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and have a degree in hospitality management, but I have never experienced anything this appalling.
When I asked for the manager, a man with a beard came out. I explained how we had been deceived, but he didn’t even listen and simply said, “Wait another 15 minutes,” and left! This is blatant dishonesty! Train your staff to give truthful information over the phone. I don’t understand why this place is so popular, but the management should urgently address the training and professionalism of their staff.
I recently visited 1909 and had a solid dining experience. The food was good—nothing extraordinary but satisfying enough. The drink variety stood out with a wide selection to choose from, which was a nice touch. Service was also on point; the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a reliable option for a casual meal, though it may not be the place for an unforgettable dining experience.
10/10 drinks and food. Everything was so delicious. Fried chicken eggs Benedict was spectacular. The French toast portions are huge and so yummy. The drinks were crafted beautifully and garnished to make them so pretty.
I went here with the wife for the Christmas experience. The wait is crazy but we came back later and it was much better. The food caught me off guard, it was really good! The service was awesome and the drinks were good. Really enjoyed that spot
