Best WLM Reviews
We were immediately greeted on a very busy night in town. Despite a long wait list we were able to wait at the restaurant and were seated within 10 minutes. The food was delicious. I had the fresh raw oysters from Louisiana which were meaty and delicious. We also got the pork belly appetizer which I will certainly eat next time for just a meal. It was perfectly rendered. As a dinner we had grouper which had the right amount of spice but certainly had a kick. My sister had the ribeye which was reported as delicious. The food was delicious but more memorable was the service. Both owners stopped by our table to say hello and make sure everything was okay. We were kept informed about the food waits and ultimately enjoyed everything about this experience. They have been open for 7 month but I foresee them being around for years! Thank you Danny, Jennifer, Maylee, and Garren for a lovely night!
The food was delicious. I had the crab bisque and the blackened fish tacos. My handsome Fiancé had a burger and a salad. The mixed drinks tasted great. Service was very good. It seemed like the owners were going to all the tables and are way more involved than the other owners.
Coldest oysters I have had. Perfectly salty and good size. Every single morsel of food we had was perfectly done. Shared a seafood platter and pork belly appetizer with the wife.New favorite seafood restaurant country wide and staff was exceptional. Don't miss out!!!
I love visiting Dahlonega. This is the third restaurant I have tried in the downtown square.
Jennifer, the owner, is great and runs a well-operated restaurant. The food was absolutely divine.
I had filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and Caribbean rice.
Hubby had seafood.
The key lime pie is small but very rich. A must-try.
Absolutely loved the RED GROUPER IMPERIAL! Must try! Also have great and yummy crab cakes! This visit we get the jerk chicken but was definitely over cooked however the owner was very nice and tried to accommodate us, was apologetic and understanding. With cooking at times it happens. Will be back again for sure!
Savannah H. Was a fantastic waitress! She is so kind and helpful. Her genuine care for how you were doing along with making sure you liked your food was so refreshing. She is so personable. Having one of the owners, Danny come by on several occasions to check on things was also nice to see. They really have great customer service. To top things off the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!
We arrived at 7 on a Sunday night to a restaurant that was not crowded. We were seated immediately. My husband ordered a Manhattan from our very attentive server. Hubs said the drink was well prepared. He ordered blackened fish and mashed potatoes and enjoyed the dinner. I chose Coquilles St. Jacques which came with a potato mash and maple-mustard Brussels sprouts. The delicate sea scallops, about 7 or 8, were tender and not overcooked. The sprouts were delicious. I definitely won the menu selection. For dessert we shared a piece of carrot cake, which didn't have obvious pieces of carrot, but was well spiced and yummy.
Will definitely recommend and return on future trips to the area.
We walked in & had high hopes--it's a pretty interior and the menu looked wonderful. Overall we didn't have a great experience though. We waited over an hour for our food because there was some kind of big party upstairs, which would have been fine if they had told us. The management really should have advised us of the long wait, & if I were running the place I would have sent over a few appetizers for our party of 6. By the time our food arrived we were starving, but nothing was really all that good. The shrimp & grits had a really heavy sauce over the whole dish which wasn't clear from the description--2 of us ordered that & didn't like it. Two of us ordered fried oysters which had way too much breading & were really gritty. The fried okra was lukewarm & soggy. We never saw the manager until we were ready to leave or we might have been able to give him a chance to improve the experience. As it is he checked in as we were leaving & just apologized for not being more dialed in, which was just too little too late. Dinner is on the pricier side so I think it's reasonable to expect higher quality & service.
