J1 students and others, sleep on street , do not accommodate here. the photos are totally fake. There is no window in rooms, ac does not work properly, the bed is bunk, cost too much, reception always sleeps in and the back room and you are lucky if you find them. When you leave you need to fight for months to be able to get your deposit back. I wrote 99+ mail and could get my deposit back with their bad words to me , scammers!!!
The hotel is clean and the rooftop deck is a nice view in the evening. The staff is super kind and I had no complaints about how the hotel was run. However, the hotel is a little older and the bed isn’t the comfiest. There is a nightclub two stores down and the music is loud if you’re on the furthest end of the hotel. You can hear people talking in other rooms. The location is great - there is a nice bar/restaurant in front of the hotel and it’s just within walking distance of many places. We enjoyed how close things were like places to eat and the beach. It’s not for the boujee, but it’s alright.
To start, the location is great it’s right across the street from the beach. The room is the size of a dorm room, but reasonable for the price and good for a couple if you’re not going to be in the room much. We paid extra for a window room which made it feel less like a prison cell, but the windows were tiny. The parking however, is terrible. There is a lot right next to the building but only a handful of spots. If it’s a weekend you’ll be lucky to get a spot, and if you do, KEEP IT! The other lot they offer is 2 blocks away, no cameras on the lot. 1 couple got their window busted in and multiple cars were broken into while we were there one night. The hotel is not liable for any damage, understandably, but they should at least have cameras in that lot since it is so far away. Overall, if I took another budget trip I would stay here, but it’s probably worth the extra money to just get a hotel right on the beach with an actual patio.
Very poor room service. The room stinks and has cock roaches. Beds are hard! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, there's way better hotels to stay in!!!
This was our first trip to VA Beach and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. It has an amazing location. We could walk to everything we needed. The hotel staff was friendly, we even got to check in a bit early. Our room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate that the floors were tile, the sand was easier to manage. The hotel offers a roof top deck, and has a great view of the strip. We plan to stay here again next summer! During July, the city has street entertainment, one of thr locations is at the hotel. We were treated to live music and fore juggler show.nit was a nice surprise!
We had an amazing stay, manager and staff very friendly. I arrived a day later because my flight was delayed and the hotel made some special accommodations for me. This is something that usually doesn't happen but I was very grateful. Room was very clean and roof top gives you a beautiful view to the beach.
This is coming from someone who never leaves bad reviews and stays all the time on 2 and 3 star hotels but this is the worst hotel ever. Waited 45 min to check in because the lobby was closed, there was no doorbell and nobody was there (I could see the phone ringing and it was in silence). The parking lot was full because it was used by guests of the club next door so had to park 2 blocks away. The hallways are small and like a maze. The room is extremely small, just enough room to walk around the bed and dirty (could feel the dirt on my feet), the bed had TWO sheets without blankets, phone to call front desk did not work walked down and again nobody there so I had to use my beach towels as blankets, pillows were bad and of course no extra pillows. The AC was broken so they had a window AC unit that was not sealed at all so we could hear everything from the street (like normal volume conversations). The hair dryer had mold, shower handle was broken, we got 1 big towel. When asked to change rooms the person in the front desk simply said they were booked and that we could cancel the rest of the stay. When asked for an extra towel the answer was "why do you need one if you are not going to stay", supposedly a towel was going to be sent to the room but of course it never happened. Save your money and don't go there!
I would NEVER recommend this hotel, nor stay here again. I’d rather sleep on the road. Staff was not very helpful, and no where to be found a lot of the time. Stains on the sheets when we showed up, and no blanket just a sheet even though the room is freezing. Rooms were not clean, and weren’t cleaned the whole time throughout our stay. The toilet was clogged as well as the shower. We asked for new sheets and pillow cases and towels multiple times and barely got them. Phone didn’t work in the room, and the front desk never even answered when we called from our cells. The AC was extremely loud, and nothing is provided including toilet paper, sheets, towels etc. There is also a terrible moldy smell. Best thing about it was that it was so close to the beach, but still doesn’t justify our horrible stay. Overpriced for what we got. Never again.
