Beautiful space to go along with excellent food and service. You stand in line to order then find a seat-ample seating inside and in the adjacent hotel lobby space. Had the chicken & waffles which was outstanding. Polite, kind and professional people who work here. Will dine here again!
I visited this establishment for brunch to commemorate my daughter's birthday. The establishment is situated within the Driscoll Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed the Texas-shaped and Texas-sized waffle with berries, while my daughter opted for the Austin breakfast. Both dishes were delectable. I also sampled the breakfast in a cup, which was equally delicious. The ambiance of the establishment is truly captivating and exudes a sense of historical significance.
1886 Cafe & Bakery is a wonderful place both in terms of decor and the traditional food offered for lunch and breakfast. Almost every day, right after the bakery opens, I'm there having a good breakfast before going to work.
Delicious food, fabulous atmosphere and friendly service. All four of us ordered the fried chicken and Texas shaped waffle. It’s also in a great neighbourhood. A necessary stop while visiting Austin.
I’ve I always enjoyed an antique building, but I was not expecting this. That atmosphere was breathtaking the food including the Texas waffle was more than enough to get your day going with Service that was top-notch. This is a charming, smaller restaurant that is Big and Service and bacon taste. when you go to order and get a little confused, just ask for help they were more than happy to guide you to the menu. Located in the old Bristol hotel it is a site for anyone that appreciates past days food and service five stars..
1886 Cafe is so good. It really feels like you've gone back in time but in a more modern way. I got the chicken and waffles. They were the best I've had. Highly recommend.
Salmon lox was delicious and will purchase again. They also can do egg whites on the side which is great for a post gym sesh.
If you need a place to work , coffee and eat. The hotel lobby has great WiFi and seating.
Nice looking building that’s about it. Automatically add a tip to your order. You pay before your service. food is mediocre at best. Food is dropped off at table and that’s it for service. Really really overpriced. Over 60 dollars for breakfast for the wife and I with coffees. Never again
