Went to a birthday meal here. The food was lovely, the service was great, the staff were friendly and efficient. I cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay. Would recommend.
Didn't stay at the venue, looks like a lovely place, clean and friendly staff. I was simply passing and visiting for a breakfast.. Wow, it's probably the best full English I've ever had. Thank you, I will be back.
Have a friend who has moved nearby and visit a couple of times now, just for drinks. Busy little place which for the most part would only really drive past if a local, decent beer, friendly staff, plenty of parking next to park and decent amount of seating outside.
We came for a private function. A great venue with a decent car park.
Pub is nice and cosy. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is generally of a good standard. Unfortunately my salmon and prawn noodle dish was overpoweringly salty and didn't have much other flavour which was disappointing. Visually it looked nice and the ingredients were spot on but definitely overseasoned. The bacon and brie sandwich however was very nice with great accompaniments and my daughter really enjoyed it.
Had a great breakfast here just over a week ago before a trip down to Warwick. All the food was well cooked and portions were large. Lovely service from the young lady on duty. Smart, clean surroundings made it a pleasure to eat here.
We had the most delicious breakfast this morning at 1885. The presentation and quality were very evident.
Matthew and his staff we delightfully accommodating and very pleasant. The new restaurant and function room are a wonderful place to spend time.
I would highly recommend anyone to experience 1885 pub or restaurant as we have spent many hours enjoying the wonderful place.
Had a delicious homemade cheese, onion and potato pie. Everyone else had a great lunch. Massive portions - definitely have the Parmesan truffle fries they are amazing. The football was on in the bar area which I always think is a distraction.
